"You're probably asking the wrong person," Severus answered with a small smirk when she asked how they tampered with the moon. He could probably accomplish something similar with a Confundus Charm, but he would have to cast one on every single person there. Which wasn't to say that they didn't do that very thing. They could, quite possibly, had a wizard in reserve whose job it was to go about Confunding people nightly. He wouldn't put that past them, either.
"Not at first, no," he said, shaking his head, and he had the urge to smile at the abruptness of the question. "A few have tried to cross the line and faced some rather horrid consequences. But denial only carries one so far." Granted, the others had more to lose than he did, and so most of them were rather anxious to go back. As his life had been practically over anyway, in many ways this was preferable. And even more so now. At least the view had improved.
