RP: Stockboy is Stocking
Characters: Jason
Time/Date: very late June 24/very early June 25
Location: The mall, the grocery store, places in between.
Warnings/Rating: None
Summary: Jason sneaks up to the surface to stock the stores
Status: Closed
They'd drawn straws to see who'd be the one to stock, and given the look that Sam and Matt had exchanged, Jason was pretty sure they'd found some way to cheat. Or trick him into drawing the short straw. But hey, at least this got him out of doing it later. When there were more people. Scarier people. Not that the lot they had up there now wasn't scary, but ... he'd seen the list of future victims.
Jason hauled the cart up the ramp, and sighed. Of course, his first stocking job would include the mall. All the way on the other side of things. Exhaling, he pulled the cart along the path, whistling under his breath. As he drew closer to their side of the line, he looked around to try to make sure no one was watching. Disarming the traps in the immediate area, he safely crossed the line, and just for kicks (in case someone was watching), he rearmed them. And made a mental note to disarm them again on his way back.
Stopping by the convenience store first, he stocked the refrigeration shelves with the usual before adding in some meats and cheeses. He'd hit the hotel on his way back and stock that kitchen as well - lots of fruits and vegetables and eggs and milk and things like that.
But the whole point of tonight's stocking was to put winter gear in the mall ... for Matt's blizzard. Jason thought it was kind of stupid this early on, but hey, he wasn't the one running the show. He was the one doing calculations and trying to find accessible points in the timeline to bring people from. Jason was the one making portals and occasionally going through them ... but Jason wasn't running things. Which was too bad, but at least they did listen when he had ideas.
Hauling the cart along toward the mall, Jason continued whistling while doing his best to keep an eye out for the ... residents of the island.
