The idea that he could not comprehend it did not strike him, so confident was he in his intellect- but now was not the time. Now was the time for paying attention.
Instead he smiled in return as he took the device and looked it over once more. "Thank you," he offered quietly as his fingers slid over the surface of the device; it seemed... no, easy was not the word, but not beyond his capabilities. It was quickly pocketed before he turned his attention back to the kind young lady.
"When you say people from the past, what... precisely would that mean?" he asked; one of the two things that already piqued his interest. "And the magicians... we speak of entertainers, those who amuse with slight of hand and simple tricks?"
