RP: Catching up Characters: Dora and Spike Time/Date: after dinner, September 18 Location: Library Warnings/Rating: None? Summary: Dora wants to make sure Spike is really here Status: Complete
Isadora had been intrigued to hear about the returned persons that morning, and the fact that Spike was among them. Apparently, all of the people who had been kidnapped that day had been returned, which lead Isadora to believe that the kidnapping was the flavor of the week experiment. Let's see how the rats react to their cage-mates gone missing and presumed dead.
It irritated her because she had reacted. Not overtly, not outward, but she knew there'd been evidence enough. Unschooled expressions and conversations with Iridia. Her initial reaction to the post. She knew they couldn't be certain it was about Spike, but she had been socializing fairly exclusively with him.
She realized the irony of continuing said socialization now, but she wanted to be sure he really was all right. Wanted to make sure he was him, and not some impostor placed here to screw with her. Or with anyone else. The fact that she was concerned about this at all was gnawing at her. She didn't think it was a good idea to form any sort of relationship here, friendship or otherwise. Why provide them with more ammunition than they already had?
Yet until he'd gone missing, she hadn't realized how much she'd counted on Spike's presence here. Not for any particular reason, but simply the fact that he was here. That she had an ally, someone of a similar mind. Someone she could count on bumping into now and again, or someone she could rely on to follow her miles from the hotel to talk. Someone she respected. It was a bit much for her to try to analyze, but she had told him she'd meet him down here, and so she would.
Stepping into the library with Iridia, Isadora found one of the chairs toward the back, settling herself down into it to wait for him.
