She wanted to make some quip to lighten ... was it intensity? Or was she imagining it? ... but she couldn't think of anything appropriate just now about her and a void that was funny. So she remained silent and held him, listening to his heart beating.
"Well, I didn't know I'd been missing, so it wasn't ... exactly anything weird for me," she admitted. "I mean, aside from the obvious ... disturbance of having the discussion at all." She sighed. "I mean, I knew, obviously, but I don't recall having been gone. They must have kept us out the entire time. I can't say for sure we were even moved from our rooms unless someone checked and saw we weren't there."
She supposed they must have been though. Moved and hooked up to some Muggle machinery to keep them functioning while they were out, or ... maybe just drugged enough that their bodies had ceased to function. She shuddered a little at that thought, pressing closer to him.
"I need to go ... just ... clean up and be by myself for a bit, but I wanted ... to see you first." She hesitated. "Do you want some company tonight?" she inquired. She probably wouldn't feel up to doing anything -- not so soon after breaking the man she loved's heart -- but she'd like to hold and be held ... and she trusted him to know that. Why she trusted him to know that, she wasn't sure, but she did.
