"I thought you may be more comfortable here," he said with a nod of his head, a hint of a smirk playing across his lips. "Though I suppose it does not matter, I'm glad I caught you either way." He glanced over his shoulder down the hall. "Did you wish to practice in my room? I could go back... or accompany you there?"
He held out his arm in a teasing manner, but when she stepped back to allow him in, as he'd assumed she would, he did step inside, gazing around her room to see the subtle differences. When he caught her looking at his hand, he quirked a grin and held it up so she wouldn't have to gaze down as much, gazing around the room as he did so.
At her question, he glanced back at her. "Uneventful," he said with a mild shrug of his shoulders. "Went down to the library and read for a bit - thankfully, the books were not all replaced with the garbage that is filling the televisions -" he belatedly hoped that wasn't giving the captors any ideas, "- but hardly anything of interest. And yourself?"
