Oh, sure, as an FBI agent - you got used to kidnapping cropping up. As in, you had to deal with people when they were kidnapped, not... you were kidnapped in your sleep by some kind of undercover government operation and told that there was no way off the island and to enjoy your stay here.
His eyes did drift over the computer and he skimmed the first few entires - a lot of wounded individuals and something about magic? He ended up closing the browser. It was why he tried to avoid the internet at the best of times - people were just weird. Then he grabbed his gun (he checked it - he only had a few bullets left and he saw no replacements. He knew he should have restocked it before he went to bed, dammit. But it wasn't like he forsaw getting kidnapped) and the blackberry device that he suspected was associated with the computer. A few clicks confirmed it and he headed out into the hallway, gun drawn as though he expected danger to be in the hallway.
He eased up a bit once he got to the stairwell, but started when he heard noise from below. He followed the girl as she moved down the stairs, keeping his weapon trained on her and trying to be subtle, following her mostly because she was the first person he'd seen and not for any other real reason. But when he reached the lobby, he found that his hiding abilities would be much slimmer. So he dropped his gun back to his side. He didn't really have enough bullets to waste, anyway. So he adjusted his tie, cleared his throat to get her attention (if she didn't already know he was there) and tried to come up with something clever to say.
