RP: After the Fire Characters: Isadora, Iridia, Spike Time/Date: Afternoon, August 22 Location: library area, lobby Warnings/Rating: none to speak of Summary: Dora pitches in with the clean up Status: Complete
Dora was not foolish, nor was she inclined to expose Iridia to crowds, where people in a panic might touch him. Or, where he might make them more nervous. So she'd done as well as she could in barricading her room. She'd listened to the noises, heard the fighting, and remained where she was until it was over. It had been a very stressful day, on the heels of three only slightly less stressful days.
Still, it was time to emerge and help out. She'd seen the request in the network, and she was a perfectly capable human being.
Navigating the stairs with Iridia, Dora made her way into the lobby. A glance toward the kitchen showed it to be in a workable state, so that was taken care of. There were some people working in the rec area, so she turned her attention to the library area. It wasn't horribly destroyed, but it was definitely in disarray.
Iridia sat by one of the shelves where he'd be out of the way, his tail curling around his haunches as he watched Isadora. He himself didn't know what to make of the past week. Not truly. So he thought it best not to make anything at all of it. He knew Isadora didn't know, either, and he watched her as she carefully reshelved the fallen books. As she set aside the ones that had been damaged but might still be able to be repaired.
He looked around, but no one seemed terribly close just then. "Are we staying down long?" He whispered to her.
"For a bit," she agreed as she ran her thumb down the binding of a book. It was dented, but not torn or cut or truly damaged, so she put it back on the shelf before reaching for the next one. Truthfully, she knew they had to be more ... social, even if it did go a bit against her nature. So she'd help here, and welcome anyone who wanted to help in the area as well.
