Magius, Lily, Open To all!
Lily shouldn't have been surprised that someone had come to check on her, and she certainly appreciated the sentiment. She heard the combat in the hallway, and she winced. She was genuinely torn in regard to what she felt she should do. She had plenty of defensive magic, but if she died, the wards would fall. So it was best, clearly, that she stay somewhere safe. She didn't think the odds were good of her making it up to the safe room, so she settled for warding her own room.
Drawing the door open once it seemed quiet enough, she peeked out toward Magius. "I think I should stay in here," she began. "I don't want to risk the wards, and ..." She gestured toward the hall, the stairway. "You seem to have a handle on things."
She tried to drum up a smile for him, though it probably looked clownish and over-exaggerated and completely out of sync with her wide, frightened eyes. "Can I do anything to help though? I ... I'm not sure I could do a portable shield charm, but I could try," she added. Anything she could do to help, she would.
