RP: A Broken Thief Characters: Parker, Open Time/Date: Early morning, August 3rd Location: Her room to start with Warnings/Rating: Spoilers for "The Future Job" and a very emotional thief Summary: Parker has to relive a job she wants to forget along with a very dark secret Status: Open
"But I didn't say anything!"
Parker could not stop either the tossing and turning or the tears that were trying to fall. She was seeing the fake psychic the team had brought down in flames less than a year prior. But at the same time she was also reliving the one thing only 4 people (5 if you count Tara since she was with the team at the time) knew about.
The death of her younger brother in a freak car accident while he was on his bike.
She was reliving the whole job, at least the first part when Dalton Rand basically blasted her secret to the world at large. Which lead to her running out of the studio near tears and eventually finding herself back in the Leverage office space. She did cry the moment she was alone and as the dream kept going the usually kooky thief was in tears anew. The only thing that seemed to help her: seeing the team in her dream and everything from Eliot's offer to have Rand killed to Nate setting the plan into motion.
But there was no team here: nobody to soothe the storm raging through the broken young woman who had never really learned how to deal with people. There was nobody here that Parker could trust to pull her from the emotional edge she was on.
That was when she snapped and was basically ankle deep in a total emotional meltdown. The sound of tears could be heard from the closet of Parker's room as she dove inside: falling back into the one thing that made sense. She had done this many times to keep her demons at bay, scaring the team at times but they could at least be there and help her through. She locked herself in the closet to keep the dream and her pain at bay. But this time it was not working and it showed. Between the memories of the accident, Dalton Rand and growing up in the foster care system things were a mess in a very fragile mind.
The only sound now was Parker crying her soul out like the scared little girl she had been once, before she became the stone cold thief of today.
All she needed now was someone to be what the team was: the ones that helped her understand and at that moment she was in enough emotional pain she was not even caring how sore she would get or how messed up she would feel afterwards. All Parker could do was cry as she tried to pull herself from the nightmares she was reliving.
But in the midst of her tears she did something nobody would expect, her hand hit the device and the tears could be heard on the network along with pained whispers.
