RP: Damn the rain Characters: Susan Time/Date: Evening, July 26 Location: Lobby Warnings/Rating: None Summary: Susan wants the rain to stop Status: Closed
The rain had been going on for ... days. All right, just over two days, but still. It hadn't broken, though there'd been an hour or so when it just drizzled. The nights - so far - had been full of some of the loudest thunder she'd ever heard. While she wasn't easily frightened, when the entire building shook from the force of the thunder ... well, it made her a touch nervous.
Nevermind the random power outs. Twice while she was in the shower, the power went out to leave her in the utter blackness. After the second one, she'd decided to leave the bathroom door open so at least the light from the window would let her see what she was doing so she could find a towel and not trip all over things.
It was unpleasant, but what here was pleasant?
Well, most of the people were all right ... but the conditions were far less than ideal. She wanted to be back where she'd been taken from, or back home; at this point, she'd settle for either.
She'd brought her bow downstairs before she settled into a chair where she could see the window but ... she wasn't imagining that the rain was going to give her a chance to get outside today, either. So instead, she listened to the rain as it tapped against the glass, heavily and insistently, and Susan sighed.
