So nothing had come of the random objects appearing in various rooms, though Lily thought there were fewer people here than there had been. Sev was gone, and when she checked the directory ... she thought she saw a few more names missing. Granted, there'd been a name or two added, and she had to wonder if there was any rhyme or reason to that.
She was simply ... waiting for James' name to show up on the list. She had his wand still ... so it would be here when he showed up, and she was convinced that he would. Someday. Hopefully soon.
After she'd gotten up and noticed how cold it was (no surprise there though; it had been getting colder all week), she turned up the heat in her room before drifting downstairs to find the main ones and turn them on. She sighed softly as she heard the sounds from the basement and the soft wooshing of hot air through the vents. It would warm up in here soon enough.
She checked out the window for wolves, and saw wolf prints in the snow ... but no signs of the wolves themselves. If it hadn't been for other people having seen them, she would have wondered if they even existed. In this place ... it was getting harder and harder to tell what was real and what wasn't.
Shaking her head, she drifted into the kitchen. Rummaging through the fridge and cabinets, she decided she had enough to bake with, and set about it. The biscuits she made never sat around long, so she assumed people were eating them ... and it was something to do to pass the time. And one never knew who'd show up for a chat in the kitchens ... so it was a good place to meet people.
