Phasma clutched the tiny Death Star gently in both hands, still looking down at it, at the concave bowl above which the lasers would have come to their confluence. "It's in safe hands," she said, and not without a touch of very aware irony. "And I think I have just the place for it, as well. They would never be so bold as to even look." Although, she had to admit - even if it was only privately - that she had every intention of keeping it on her person as much as possible. She'd already become very fond of it in the few moments that she'd had it in her possession.
"Thank you, though," she added, a little softer and more sincere now. "It's just a little thing, but it's very thoughtful of you to trust it to me. And I do promise not to hold it over either General Hux or Lord Ren's heads - either figuratively or literally," she teased. They may have only been an inch or two shorter than her in height but she still had a longer reach than either of them and could very well hold a great many things over both of them. Except for the fact that Lord Ren had the Force, but that only stopped the literal holding. She didn't particularly expect either of them to care, though.
Maybe it was a touch of sentimentality in her that made her care, maybe it was because this was Krennic and the two of them seemed very much alike, but it was the first tangible thing that anyone had ever given her that was in absolutely no way practical at all. That was a remarkable thing in itself. And maybe there had been other things, little things, but Phasma couldn't remember them at the moment. There had been odd little trinkets from her troopers over the years, yes, but gifts from a student to a teacher were a show of gratitude and respect. This was something between equals and it had simply struck her in an odd way.
She dropped her hand, still clutching the little Death Star, into her lap and then almost tentatively reached out and rest her hand on Krennic's knee for just a second. She didn't say anything, just gave him half a smile before she settled back again.
