Who: Leia, Hux & some card players. When: Todayish Where: At a space station. What: "While at a stopping point, TEAM MEMBER gets into a game of cards. While it looks dicy for a while, they wind up winning a pretty credit, including NEW THRUSTERS"
If Leia Organa was being honest with herself, she would admit that she was far more invested in making sure that Hux lost than she was in winning. It wasn't the best plan, especially as the stakes started to rise, but having no strategy in a card game had always worked out for Han and she was pretty confident that anything Solo could manage to pull off, she could do better.
Any irritation she might have had over the fact that one of their team members had given up their fuel on a wing and a prayer was deeply hidden behind the fact that she'd now wagered the rest of their ship's fuel on the cards she held on her hand. It was a bold move, and one she was sure made Hux flinch, but they weren't going to win this game if they played too cautiously. Besides, if Riri was right and the suit she'd got from home could power the ship, than they wouldn't need the fuel in their reserves anyway. It was just weighing them down.
She fanned her cards between her fingers and then collapsed them back into a tight stack as she watched the wagers come in around the table. Her gaze fell on the over-cooked noodle fingers of General Hux, who had sat directly across from her as some kind of failed intimidation tactic. His cards were face down on the table, with the tips of his fingers pressing against as if he daring someone to try to sneak a glance. Leia couldn't tell if the cards he held were good or bad. Not because Hux had any kind of a passable poker face, but because she wasn't quite confident that she could discern between the different shades of sneer that he always wore.
