In the Auditorium
Since regaining her memories, Rey had been thinking quite a lot about the ancient texts that she recalled stowing away on the Falcon. They’d been on her mind so much, in fact, that through their not uncomplicated Force connection, Kylo Ren had managed to pick up on the fact something was weighing on her thoughts. Something that she was very much unwilling to share with him. This presented somewhat of a problem, as whenever Ren became aware of something he didn’t know, he became immediately more curious about it. What was worse was the fact that Rey had, when Diana had asked for lists of books, quietly asked if it might be possible to petition for those Jedi texts when the request for new books was placed. She didn’t want the request publicised, and the books had never been added to the list that was displayed on the network, but if the books were to be acquired, Kylo Ren was the last person she wanted to know about their existence in this place.
But she didn’t want to keep avoiding him, that would only further pique his suspicions, so instead she offered to meet him in the auditorium to talk. She had no intention of telling him about her request for the books, but also wasn’t exactly sure what lie she was going to give him instead. She thought that meeting in person would be better than trying this conversation through their usual means because this way he wouldn’t be in her head. With some distance between them, he might just be a little easier to convince.
