Bruce's hair had finally dried out, perhaps half an hour ago; he had moved on from alleviating his extreme tedium by trying to get it to lie flat to alleviating his extreme tedium by attempting to amuse himself with the various instrumentation around the room. None of it was particularly interesting, unfortunately; medical monitors of differing levels of sophistication were still just medical monitors. Power supply systems to life support machines were still just - power supply. If there was something he was supposed to be doing, he was resolved, on principle, not to be doing it, and so his investigation was necessarily surface-level.
So he was pleased enough to turn his attention to pod 04 when he heard that someone else had woken up. He leaned over the transparent lid. "You just - turn the handle," he said, pantomiming, and mouthing the words as slowly and clearly as he could. "Turn. Like this." Bless his little heart.
