Is it? I think it's just realistic. Death is just the ending of one thing, often marking the beginning of another. It's a one side effect of the inherent impermanence of all things. Things age, die and decay, the universe gradually marches towards death, and disorder. Eventually we all die. Eventually the people who remembered us will die, as well. For the most part, the dead are forgotten within a few generations. The only way to postpone your own obsolescence is to achieve oneness with the force, or to leave a mark on the world that is visible and immutable.
