Bail knew how overwhelming it was to arrive here, though he considered that for Obi-Wan this was slightly easier than if he had arrived in the middle of a scenario. Like Bail had, for instance, thrown into a flooding jungle, or someone else who might have arrived amid a string of murders in London. New York, this park, this season, was less ... exciting perhaps. Still, it was jarring. Especially for someone like Obi-Wan, Bail suspected, who had had his reasons for retreating with Luke to Tatooine and remaining there.
It wasn't that he sought him out precisely (maybe it was a little), but after giving him enough time to settle, if one could ever really settle in an experiment such as this, Bail found Obi-Wan at the Tavern on the Green. He hesitated for just a moment before striding over and smiling warmly at his old friend. "Obi-Wan," he said in greeting. "Mind if I join you?"
He slid onto the seat beside him and looked at him, quiet for a moment. Everything he thought to say seemed inane given the circumstances, really. "I hope you've been adjusting as well as possible," he finally said.
