If this machine is given to the collective as a whole to put the power in our hands regarding whose powers may or may not be turned on at a given time, is it within the government's rights to force someone to keep their abilities if that individual wish them to be gone?
I think that the amendment's purpose is to allow an individual to have them removed if they so wish it. Some of the concerns mentioned above were in regards to whether or not a person would be able to make that choice themselves, hence the suggestion of adding to the amendment an evaluation if the individual wishes to undergo such a process. As it stands right now, I think the amendment is too ambiguous to allow it to go through voting.
