As she ducked her head, he wondered briefly if the compliment was too much; sometimes people weren't used to them. Certainly she seemed a little unsure momentarily, but it seemed to be from within.
Her smile in the next second eased his thoughts and he couldn't help but grin in return. He loved Christmas, not because of the presents he received (though they were a bonus), but because of the joy he could bring to his loved ones with his gifts to them. A little tilt of his head followed her gesture to wait and he watched as she retrieved the dainty bag.
"For me?" His smile was gentle, obviously touched by the gesture. "Thank you." As Jessica handed him the bag, he passed her gift over, hoping she would like it. It was a sort of throwback to their first conversation.
