GOALS
JUST THE FACTS
OOC Note Goals should be as private as possible (even OOCly). Characters mentioning their specific objectives ICly will automatically fail this exercise. We'll go with the honor system for this. Also, a player cannot use their own characters to help one of their other characters achieve their goal. This will get them disqualified. They can check-in once they're finished or decided to not complete their goal. The drop box is over here OOC Dream Information Feel Free to add some personal “flare” to these dreams that showcase the specimen’s individual “wrong-doings.” But here is a quick, general overview of what the specimen will experience in their dreams, based on what Train Car they are assigned.
Environment The circus is travelling around a setting similiar to the American midwest during the height of the Dust Bowl. The Circus may pass by towns, but will settle far outside them in prairies surrounded by sparse grainfields. Towns or farms may be visible on the flat horizon, but specimens are restricted to the area between temporary fences. Every night at 6 pm on performance nights, NPC townsfolk will arrive on Circus grounds to explore the Midway, Sideshow, and Big Top shows. If engaged in conversation, they are hesitant, awestruck, and bland in their statements. setting is a tropical rainforest environment hugging an oceanic coast to the south and enclosed by (volcanic) mountains to the north. The east and west perimeters of this enclosure, should specimens choose to explore comprise a sort of loop where they may find themselves placed a mile back from the perimeter if they get too close--or randomly placed on the map if they don't get the hint. Daytime temperatures hover around 90oF (32oC) with a dry heat and occasional breezes. Temperatures drop about 10 degrees at night. For reference climate, consider Omaha Nebraska Midway The entrance to the Circus the Midway represents the social concourse of the circus. With games, a 10-in-1 sideshow, wandering clowns and food vendors. Within the Midway, visitors can be directed by the Midway Barker to find Midway Games and Shell Games, Clowns, Puppetry and Jugglers, Face Painting and Ventriloquism, Fortune Telling, a Magic Show, Popcorn and Cotton Candy Vendors The Sideshow, a 10-in-1 annouced by the Sideshow Emcee, features freaks and geeks to astound the mind: the Siamese Twins, the Armless Wonder, the Lizard Man, the Strongman, the Fiji Mermaid, the Flea Circus, the Bearded Lady, Bee Bearding, the Sword Swallower, and the Snake Charmer. The Arena Home to acts of derring-do, this wild west themed arena hosts riding shows, kangaroo boxing, and a little more dangerous fare than the Midway. Visitors can watch Trick riding or cycling, knife throwing, fire dancing, Kangaoo boxing, sharpshooting and the GLOBE OF DEATH. Also the llama trainer, hooping, and fire dancing. The Big Top The real show, the Big top hosts the dramatic and glitzy shows people really came for: Acrobats, clowns, wild animals Here, visitors can see specimens perform as aerial acrobats, tightrope walkers, rola bola, the Cyr wheel and acrobalance acts. Voltige, trained elephants and big cats, the daring human cannonball, shallow diving and the eternally loved clowns. Behind the Big Top lay the animal cages, and residential train cars. Food is cooked around a large bonfire which is also a central social hub of the circus. The train will be in motion until 2 pm EST on 6/11 where it will stop at its destination. Specimens have until Wednesday night to learn to be circus performers. |
