She bowed her head again slightly in acknowledgement but also in apology that she'd startled her. It was her fault though, but she was probably lucky that people weren't really bothering her. It was never anything good. Mostly just gross dudes trying to catcall and other gross things. She loved New York, but sometimes she was pretty sure that it was an actual cesspool of humanity.
Carol probably didn't know that much about fanfiction really. She wasn't going to judge anyone for writing things that they loved. It seemed like Kamala was a pretty good writer. But she hadn't actually read anything. And don't worry, she wasn't going to ask now and put her on the spot. That was the last thing that she wanted.
She nodded her head, "I guess in your stories everyone actually likes me?"
