GOALS
JUST THE FACTS This scenario is designed based on the premise of Once Upon a Time, or similar such duality games where a character has become someone "else". How much of themselves, or their "essence" that shines through in their character is up to you. Some people should grapple with their role versus who they feel like they are. Other people should immerse themselves entirely in the part they are playing without protest or without inquiry. As the plot unfolds, if your character encounters situations or scenarios that are similar to their own lives or experiences, their internal struggle can increase, but no one is going to "break" the spell or see through the "mist" so to speak.

Ecology Novi Grad sits at the base of the Carpathian Mountains in what would be modern day Sokovia / Latveria / Transylvania. It is a temperate-continental climate which is about 50oC (9 degreesoC) during the day, dropping to or even just below freezing at night. Oddly, the moon seems full more nights than not here. The city sits along the coastline and the beaches are dark, pebbly sand. The water is black and colder than anyone would really like to tolerate and the waves choppy and rough. Flora The estates surrounding Novi Grad sit on expansive moors that grow weeds and wildflowers. Crops are grown in the surrounding countrysides, though most larger farms are on the opposite side of the expansive old growth forests that line the foothills of the Carpathians and the outlying regions. Fauna The apex predator of the arena is the wolf. Though expect a lot of bats, crows, and even the occasional deer and situationally appropriate animal life. Novi Grad also does an excellent trade in horses. Death & Rebirth Unfortunately, especially in gothic horror novels, death is an unpleasant side effect of existence. Should your character die, they will respawn within a couple hours as a University Student going by their own name. They will have no memory of their time as their previous characters (until after the character blinding has been lifted). At this time, their personality should more closely resemble their own personality, and they can still interact with the plot or other characters as much as they like, but they still cannot canon puncture. Housing will be in the dormitories (17 on the city map). |
