GOALS
JUST THE FACTS
Environment The setting is a series of Victorian gazebos in a large rectangular open field, lined by fully blooming lilac trees. At the far end south end of the field is a large, shimmering lake. Specimens will not be able to make their way into or through the lilac trees, but many different, magical animals will wander into the field throughout the day. In each of the gazebos are different place settings and foods. There are some for ice cream, wine, champagne and soda, some for sweets with chocolate fountains, and some of savoury sandwiches and pickles. Daytime temperatures hover around a sunny 75oF (32oC) with some light, refreshing breezes and occasional cloud cover. For the duration of this experiment, it will remain daylight, though characters are free to nap near the tree lines or in the shelter of the gazebos. (There are small, private bathrooms in cabana tents, but they aren't really big enough for two people unless the specimens get very creative. Fauna In this scenerio all of the animals are tame and friendly. They will approach specimens and be playful and affectionate. These animals will include, unicorn cats (pictured), as well as albino giraffs, peacock-porcupines, small bears, two-legged dogs (here), Nearer to the lake, there will be some unicorns, an elephant, stags, monkeys, and cows (here). On the lake, there are plenty of ducks, and other water birds (here). Finally, there are large person-sized birds that sometimes peak out between the lilac branches, and will come and sit with specimens if they are quiet and gentle (here). Feeding the animals is not recommended. Food Each Gazebo has a unique spread, there is one that specialises in cheese boards, meats, pickles and cucumber sandwiches. Another has beverages, including a champagne tower, wine, sodas and floats. The largest gazebo is set up for a large tea party, including several different types of (flavoured and unflavoured) black teas, scones, Victoria sponge and olive oil cakes and cookies. There is also an ice cream gazebo, and candies (both for topping up the ice creams and for eating on its own). All alcohol takes the form of champagne, wine and spritzers; there isn't any hard alcohol or beer to be found on the premises. There are also plenty of ice teas, lavendar lemonades, limeades, and non-alcoholic fruit punches for those who are too young or not interested in drinking alcohol. Everything is endless. The jugs of lemonade and wine bottles never seem to empty, and plates of sandwiches are replenished whenever the covers are placed back on the food. The ice cream never melts, the hot teas never dip below perfect drinking temperatures, and the cool drinks are always perfectly icy. ACTIVITIES There are plenty of available activities if the specimens aren't interested in sitting and eating the entire time that they are there. In the gazebos, there are playing cards, checkers boards and badgammon available. Then, in the field, there is a lawn bowling course, a badminton net, lawn darts and some horse shoe pits, as well as a set up croquet course. On the lake, there are rowboats that can be taken out for private conversations or more romantic excursions. |
