I've seen you guys around. I guess I've mostly kept to myself. It's alright, though, I like learning new stuff and I like honing old skills and making sure they're still sharp. And I realize in the course of the conversation I never explained what the Hunger Games or the Purge was.
The Hunger Games is the world where Johanna Mason is from. The States rebelled and so they were divided into districts ruled over by a Capital and to keep them in line, every year they'd have a "quell" where two "tributes" from each district (under 18-years-old) were drafted to fight to the death in an arena for the entertainment of the Capital's citizens, but before that they were dressed up and trained basically just like we're being now.
The Purge is a dystopian horror film franchise where one night a year, for twelve hours, all crime (including murder) is legalized. Some people "purge", others bunker down in their homes and try to protect from the Purge. There are anti-Purge resistance groups and in the latest film there was a whole Trump election satire woven in where the Trump supporters (literally called the New Founding Fathers) are trying to keep the Purge going while the good guys are trying to end it.
