I've had a similar feeling but nowhere near as long as you. A few days at most. And after thinking about what's said in here, I've come up with a few points I feel its important to remember. One or two have all ready been stated by others but there is no harm in repeating them.
These scientists can drop us into whatever situation they please. Give us instructions on what must be done. And what must not be done. They can even threaten us with punishment for disobeying. But the decision on whether or not to follow them is ultimately ours.
Yes, the Circus and especially London were game changers. Friendships were tested. Decisions were freely made. People were physically hurt. And yet we have all come through it and aren't at each other's throats. Though someone is more than welcome to inform me if they can find no proof in any of these statements.
I understand why you're worried, dear, but we've survived everything so far. That alone leads me to believe that we'll be able to do it again. Also, to my knowledge, they have yet to take away our ability to make our own damn choices. And if they do, in fact, take that away from us then we are not at fault. I'd hope that the Council and Jury that we've just established is capable of distinguishing between actions freely taken and those done against our own free will.
Amos:
Now that I've gotten that out of the way [...] I'll keep a few hours open for you. Perhaps another story will help take your mind off of this for awhile?
