Gretel had only just figured out that the massive creatures she'd been charged with could magically fit inside the tiny orbs provided with her new wardrobe- otherwise she'd been worried about how they might fit through any doorways on her way down to meet Vex. Thankfully there had been a set of instructions to read, which she carried with her down the torch-lit steps of the woodland castle that had replaced her cramped, but comfortable little cell. The newness (and strangeness of it all was still settling in her mind, but so far it was difficult to find complaint with the new development- especially with what she had been expecting.
Normally she preferred more mobility-friendly leathers to full skirted dresses, but the flowing red dress was far more comfortable than the scratchy trousers and thin material she'd been given previously. There was also the brilliant armor, the belted sword- not her favorite weapon, but at least it was a weapon- and the exquisite helm- all of which she donned in readiness for this day, whatever it might be. She left her hair unbraided and loose beneath the dragon-scale, so that it sat more comfortably. It was difficult not to see the attire as fit for royalty on it's own, not to mention in light of the instructions for this 'game' they were to be playing.
Apparently she was the head of this town... or something similar. That it was stressed the game was for the child-captives, she kept her optimism cautiously high for the time being.
"I do- at least somewhat," she replied to Vex's question once she joined the other woman in the sun- who was looking just as comfortable as she'd mentioned on the 'tablet' earlier. Gretel handed her the booklet she'd found, outlining their respective 'roles' in this game. "Still a bit to process, but how nice of our captors to include bullet points..."
