Thread: Brad and Sib
Who: Brad and Siobhan
What: Brad and Sib have their date!
When:Starting around 8pm friday oct. 8th
Where: Gryffindor house then astronomy tower.
Rating: PG
Status: Incomplete

Brad knew he had to make this date epic, because chances where if he didnt there was not going to be a chance for another date. Not because of the fact that Siobhan was a horrible person or anything like that, he just knew that she would get bored with him if he did not challenge her and make sure that she had fun. Siobhan was the type of girl that did not sit idle in life, Brad liked that about her. He hoped his plan worked out, and that she liked the date he was going to take her on. After all his hype he had to live up to it or be teased no doubt. Brad knew Sib would not be cruel but he would certainly not be as impressive as he made himself out to be. With everything set up where he wanted it and the food he was planning on bringing packed up for him to grab quickly Brad went and got himself cleaned up. He put on a pair of jeans and a t-shirt before tossing over a sweater just in case it got cool through out the night. With a final splash of cologne Brad grabbed the bag of snacks and food he had packed and tossed it over his shoulder. He had headed up to the astronomy tower beforehand and set up their blanket and the fake campfire he was going to use, though it was not lit. He was not dumb enough to leave something like that unattended.

With a bounce in his step Brad headed down the stairs of the boys dorm, a soft whistle on his lips as he made his way toward the girl’s dorm and headed up the stairs to knock on Siobhan’s door. He had not given her any details as to just where they were going but he had given her a time when to expect him. After learning his lesson about being late to the party he was not going to be late this time around, though he was sure not to be too early and come off as a dork showing up way too early. Knocking on her door Brad continued to whistle softly before glancing up and down the hallway as well as a little bit of fidgeting with his shirt and his wand in his pocket while he waited for her to answer; despite his best efforts his nerves were starting to niggle at him.

Siobhan had to admit she was excited. She definitely thought Brad was fun, and he was certainly cute. She gave him credit for his courage in even asking her out, and he was a lot smoother than some other boys in the grade below. At first she wasn't sure if she would say yes, but the more Sib spoke to him, the more he grew on her. He was definitely earning himself a reputation of being fun and liking a challenge, and her attraction to him was something that surprised her at first. Not to mention she wasn't entirely sure it was even attraction when she first invited Brad to the Hufflepuff party. That night had proven that there was a bit of chemistry there, and Siobhan decided to grant him the chance for this date; just to show her if he had any other tricks besides flirting.

Since she wasn't sure what Bradley had planned, she didn't spend too much time getting ready. This was a date regardless of what she'd teased him about having one chance, so she changed out of her clothes into something a bit cuter. The grey dress hugged her curves in a sinful yet tasteful way, and Sib loved the light feel of the cotton material. It wasn't cold outside yet, but she chose longer sleeves just in case they went outside. The castle was always drafty so it would be okay either way. She was just finishing brushing her hair out straight when she heard a knock at her door. Smiling, she set her brush down and grabbed her wand to slip into a pocket she charmed on the dress.

Pulling open the door, she smiled at Brad on the other side, letting her eyes trail over him before speaking. "On time this round, I see," she teased, stepping out of her room and shutting the door behind her to signal she was all set.

Part of Brad was worried that Siobhan had just said yes to shut him up, he had been rather persistent and teasing when he was trying to gain a date from her. At first she was going to make him earn it and then he got it in what he assumed was a consolation prize; of course he had gotten to go to the party and they had a good time just like all the other students there and he still had his date. So it was a little hard to judge really, what he did know was that this was going to be a fun date, he was going to make damn sure of that. He was confident in that fact because he knew he was fun to be around, yes that was a little cocky but that was Brad, that was Gryffindors for sure. He hoped she liked his stripped down date, while some guys would take a girl out and wine and dine her Brad was doing something different. He was bucking the trend and treating her to a night of hopefully fun.

Being muggleborn Brad was privy to things Siobhan had never encountered in her life, or rather he hoped she hadn't. He was stretching a bit there assuming she had never experienced the wonders of S'mores. Brad hoped that she might find the different type of date charming and not boring. After knocking on her door Brad waited; trying his best not to look nervous when he bounced back and forth on his feet with the bag of supplied tossed over his shoulder. When Sib pulled open the door Brad met her with his brightest smile, his eyes taking in her outfit quickly without looking like a creeper. "I learned my lesson last time. not to mention I don't wish to waste any of the precious time I have been granted with such a beautiful date." Winking Brad held out his arm for Siobhan to hopefully slide her arm in so he could escort her to their date location. "I hope you brought your sweet tooth with you today, you're gonna need it."

If she had known Bradley thought she might've done this just to make him stop pestering her then she would've put that idea out of his head immediately. She didn't want him to think this was a pity date. Siobhan liked to tease, and she definitely had a sassy side that let her enjoy playing hard to get, but she wasn't cruel. She didn't tell Brad he had one chance because she was being mean or thought she was Merlin's gift to men, she was just challenging him and being playful. It was the Gryffindor way to be confident, and Sib definitely had that in spades. She knew she was a pretty girl, but didn't want to be thought of as a bitch. Flirting came naturally to her, but she did genuinely like Brad. Challenge or not, she wouldn't have said yes if she didn't.

When she opened the door and saw that grin on his face, she couldn't help but smile in return. He certainly had the confidence down, and he wasn't going to back down no matter how much she teased and challenged him. That was one of the things Siobhan liked best about him. "I like a bloke who can be taught. Not to mention, using your brain and taking advantage of your time is a plus too." Winking, she hooked her arm through his at the offer, raising an eyebrow with obvious impressed opinions in her eyes. "Now there's a pick up line I haven't heard before," she teased, though Brad's statement had her curiosity rising. "Just what exactly will we be doing that I need a sweet tooth?" she asked as he began to lead her to whatever destination he'd chosen.

Brad was not so insecure that he was going to let the thoughts of anything negative ruin his evening with Siobhan. He had earned his date with her, whether it was to silence him or because she really thought he was fun was a moot point because Brad was better then that. He knew they had fun, she wouldn't hang out with him otherwise if she didn't. Sib was not the kind to waster her time with somebody she didn't enjoy spending time with, and tonight she would be spending it with him. Brad was definitely chipper about that thought. Their date was very scaled back but it was a personal one. While Brad my have been a cocky flirt there was a loyal friend in the young boy. He could be sweet to the right person and he definitely though Sib was the right person.

As soon as she opened the door he was on point, making sure to add just a bit of teasing in with his flirting words but he kept the sweetness in there was well. "I am smart and pretty, one more thing and I shall be a triple threat!" Allowing his smirk to grow wider he gently pulled her arm and Sib closer once she slipped her arm in his. "Well that bodes well for me then that I am not using stale material here." Brad led Siobhan down the girl's dorm stairs and in to the common room: heading for the exit as he glanced to her and smiled. "Spoilers. If I told you that then there would be no fun mystery. You shall see." Opening the entrance for Sib Brad waited until she stepped out and he followed behind her. "I will give you a hint though. I was inspired by my sugar rushed crazed journal writing."

"Let's not get ahead of ourselves now," she mused, unable to keep from laughing lightly at Brad's confident words. She certainly had to admit he was amusing. Siobhan appreciated someone who was confident in themselves. She was a Gryffindor, after all. There was an adorable way to be cocky and an annoying way, and Bradley definitely had the former working in his favor. Even if she didn't walk away from this liking him more, Sib knew she was going to have fun tonight. Part of the reason she liked him and had said yes was because she liked spending time hanging out with him. They always seemed to have fun and got on really well, and she knew this date would be no different.

As she followed Brad down the stairs, his elusive answer had her smirking. "Well the mystery will be revealed fairly soon. Why not just tell me now?" she wondered, though Siobhan knew he wasn't going to give anything away. The hint had her raising an eyebrow, though, as she tried to figure out what he meant. "I thought we agreed this date shouldn't land us detention on the first go. Sneaking to Honeydukes would definitely get us detention."

"Who's getting ahead of themselves?" Brad winked before laughing himself at his words. He was confident and cocky but he was not so much so that he was an ass about it. There were some people whom were like that who bothered him; while confident Brad knew he was not perfect. He just chose not to see those flaws at all. There was no sense dwelling on the negative when there was so much more in the world to focus on. Like friends and family, people like Siobhan whom yes he was trying to impress but he was not going to be an ass about it. Brad liked hanging out with Sib and hoped that she would like to hang out more after this date.

Brad continued to be elusive, leading Sib down the stairs and out of the common room as well. Once they were out in the hallway he extended his arm for her to take again before they started off to their destination; a devilish look in his eyes while they walked. "Why not just wait then for the mystery to unravel and enjoy the surprise of it all?" As they walked away from the Gryffindor tower Brad nodded to a few students he knew yet his attention was mainly for his date. "Oh know I saved the breaking and entering for date number two." Brad started leading Sib toward the astronomy tower; the distance not far but enough for the two of them to talk before they got there.

Siobhan just shook her head, smirking at his teasing words. "Oh you are good at that cocky thing. You sure you're not a marauder in training?" Tossing him a wink, she couldn't help but laugh at her own tease. She knew that Brad was a good guy. He might have a lot of confidence, bordering on arrogance, but he wasn't an arse. She wouldn't be hanging out with him if he was. While some might think James and Sirius were asses, that was not the case. One had to have a certain skill in order to balance cockiness with nobility. Many people couldn't see the difference. Despite how much she acted like the boys on occasion, Sib was in fact a lady, and she was adept at picking out the good traits amongst all the ego boys in their House carried around.

Taking Bad's arm once they got out into the hallway, she didn't feel embarrassment as people watched them walk past arm in arm. She wasn't ashamed to be on a date with him. Siobhan figured that some of the boys smirking in Brad's direction were thinking of commending his efforts and skill, but they wisely kept their mouths shut. Though that didn't stop her from pressing herself a bit closer to his side for a bit more show. If they were going to stare then they might as well give them something to look at. "I'm not very good at patience," she answered with a cheeky grin. Sighing a little, she shook her head as they continued on their way. "Well at least there's something to look forward to. Provided this one lives up to the hype." Sib winked as she smiled, unable to resist the little playful jab. It was so much fun to play on Brad's inability to pass up any challenge.

"Sadly no." Brad put a fake pout on his face as his shoulders slumped a little. He liked James and the other marauder and even hung out with them in the larger friend setting but Brad had never been one of their private group. He'd be lying if he said he didn't wish that. That wink and Sib's laughter which followed sent a wave of heat moving over Brad as the pout melted away to a smile; his own laughter echoing hers as they walked down the hallway. The date had just begun and Brad was already having an amazing time and that was thanks to the girl that was holding on to his arm now as they headed toward his surprise.

The way they walked arm and arm down the hallway may have gained a look or two but Brad wasn't paying attention. His thoughts and his eyes were on the girl on his side as they made their way through the castle toward the tower. He was sure once they got there or near it Siobhan would be able to figure out where they were going. Brad's secret wasn't all that secret and he knew some one as smart as Siobhan would be able to figure it out soon enough. Having Sib press closer only sparked the heat already rolling through him, that heat mingling just perfectly with nerves as Brad focused more intently on putting one foot in front of the other. "It will be worth it. It's not far now." They were getting closer to their destination; Brad drawing Sib toward the stairs of the astronomy tower as he laughed softly at her playful jab. "Hey even if this one doesn't how can one say no to the next? Such a tantalizing offer." Once they made it to the top of the stairs Brad stepped away though he was reluctant to pull his arm free from Sib's. Walking in front of her he turned to face her as he walked backwards toward a doorway out on to the tower, the night sky clear in the windows they passed. "I think it is safe to say though that I have not disappointed yet, correct?" Taking a hold of Siobhan's hand Brad pulled her out the archway; the blanket and little picnic he had set out just beyond the door but tucked to the side for privacy. On the blanket rested the small fire pit he had produced for their s'more making and he gently placed the bag he carried with on it as well before pausing to smile at Sib. "I thought tonight I could share some of my favorite yet very muggle snacks; seeing as we both have excellent taste in treats I would hope you would like them as well.

Siobhan couldn't help but laugh at the fake pout on his lips. She knew a lot of young boys looked up to James and the others, and she definitely understood why. The boys were amazing, and she herself admired them. She thought it incredibly lucky she got to know them as well as she did. "I can put in a good word for you, if you'd like. Provided you give me a reason to." Winking, she pulled Brad a little closer to show all the kids giving him looks that she was indeed on his arm by choice. She wasn't trying to make a game out of this date, since she was very interested in getting to know him more and exploring this attraction they shared, but she couldn't resist giving him some bragging rights.

As they headed through the halls, Sib realized the direction they were taking. While the staircases liked to change and things never really looked the same way twice, she recognized this as the way to the astronomy tower. "I hope so. You're testing my patience and that could be bad first date etiquette," she mused with a sly smile. She liked to playfully pick at Bradley. He took it so well and could even toss it back a little; though not as much as the older boys, which she found endearing. Siobhan found herself pleased when they began to climb the astronomy stairs, anticipation building at what he could have planned. She was proud to see she'd been right, though his words distracted her for a few moments. "I definitely am intrigued by the promise of future crime. Though you'll have to offer more than that to truly ensure I'm there next time." As they approached the door, she gave him a grin as Brad asked if she was disappointed yet. "Nope. In fact, I'm quite enjoying myself and eager to see what you have hidden in this tower. I just hope you're not intending to shove me off it," she said with a twinkle in her eye. When he opened the door, Sib's smile grew a little at the sight of the blanket laid out in a little tucked away corner.

While she was so much like a boy in many ways regarding relationships, Bradley definitely earned points for such a romantic setup. Turning to him, it was evident in her expression that Siobhan was impressed. Not just impressed, but more than a little smitten. Not many saw her demure and more girlish side when she was being charming and engaging and elusive, but it was definitely there now. "Muggle snacks? How unique. I'm actually quite surprised...and more than a little intrigued," she said with a sweet smile as she squeezed his arm in what was to be the first in a long line of signs of affection. "This is lovely, Brad. Truly brilliant. Well done." Yes, there was a lot more to get through tonight, but he deserved acknowledgement for the beautiful setup he'd thought up.

Brad knew that fake pout would gain a laugh and it was indeed a fake pout. Though he looked up to James and the others because they were pretty damn cool he was in no rush to become a marauder; not because he did not want to or thought they weren't cool but because Bradley wanted to stand on his own. He wanted to prove his own merit and he thought he was doing a damn good job doing so! Sib was here on this date with him and he knew she would not be unless she wanted to be. They had fun at the Hufflepluff party and Brad was going to do his hardest to make sure they had fun now. "Oh but you know what they say, good things come to those who wait!" Brad was not dragging things out, they had a bit to go to get the to astronomy tower.

Thankfully the stairs were cooperating tonight and he and Sib got to the top of the tower before too long. He paused at the door to affect before he opened it and led Siobhan out in to the cooler evening air before stepping around to the picnic he had set up under the stars. Thankfully the sky was clear tonight which gave them the perfect view of the night's sky, when it became full dark and those stars came out of course. Smiling sweetly to Sib as she turned to him he was pleased by the look on her face after she took everything in. Giving a little bow Brad gestured politely to the blanket for Siobhan to sit. "I am glad I could impress m'lady; though I was confident." He could not help but add the last bit, the cocky Gryffindor in him KNOWING the date was going to be a hit. Her compliments bolstered his confident and added to the warmth within him. "Lets have a seat then and I can show you my world of treats."

"That's just what people who are always waiting and never having good things happen say!" she retorted with a smirk. Siobhan knew that she wasn't going to get him to tell her any sooner. It seemed Brad was set on this surprise idea. The whole thing was cute really, and she found herself excited to see what he had in store. Luckily, they reached the stairs to the astronomy tower without any hitches, which gave Sib a clue as to where their date would take place at least. She still had no idea WHAT he was planning, but at least she knew the location; a location that definitely leaned towards romance. Bradley was showing he had more suave tendencies than she had originally thought. He might be young, but he was proving he could treat a lady the right way.

As they stepped into the cool evening air atop the tower, Siobhan couldn't help but the look of awe on her face as she took in the picnic setup. The stars above would create a perfect backdrop for the scene, though right now it was certainly nice to see the beautiful colors of twilight paint the sky. "I knew you were, but I'm glad to see you had the skill to back it up." She tossed a wink at her date, letting Brad digest the genuine compliment fully for once. There was no elusive teasing with that statement. He had truly done a good job. "Well how can I say no to such a delicious sounding offer?" she mused, taking a seat on one side of the blanket that housed a pillow to use as a kind of chair. She made sure her dress covered her long legs properly as they curled under her body, and Sib waited for him to join her with a smile fixed to her face.

"Haha...not all people." Brad smiled at Sib's teasing, he knew she was already having fun; he was most definitely having fun himself and they had not even started the fun part of the date. Then again just being around Siobhan brought on a certain level of fun, Bard was sure tonight was going to go to be plenty of fun. He loved seeing her reaction to the sweet date he had set up. Brad was watching Sib for any type of reaction, to see if she was getting bored or anything of the sort. Seeing her face change with surprise as they stepped out on to the tower and in to the cool night air was definitely the type of reaction he wanted to see. His own smile blossomed across his lips as he took in her expression and led her to the blanket.

Brad may not have been with many girls, in face he did not have any girlfriends but he was no stranger to how to treat a girl. "Thank you Siobhan. I was hoping you would like the idea." Brad winked playfully and took a hold of Siobhan's hand, drawing her toward the blanket so they could settle down to start the rest of their date. That compliment she gave him bolstered Brad's ego, sending heat over him. Brad's response to her sincere words were sincere himself; he knew how to turn off the cocky nature when there was no need for it. Tonight was about showing Siobhan the other sides of himself; sides that he hoped she enjoyed just as much as the qualities that put him in their house. Once she settled down Brad followed her, choosing a spot next to Sib on the blanket. pulling the bag he had brought next to them Brad pulled it open to peer inside. "So..my dear. Where do we start?"

Siobhan couldn't help but tease as they made their way to the destination he'd chosen. She was being playful, as it was in her nature, but she also was making sure to give Brad credit where it was due. As soon as she saw the setup he'd devised, she definitely felt credit had been earned. She might be teasing and snarky and prone to not having a filter, but she wasn't a mean person. None of her jabs were meant seriously, unless someone pissed her off. Sib definitely felt like he deserved the compliment, and her words were soft and genuine. Most people only saw the playful side of her, which led them to believe she couldn't be soft and girlish. She was hoping to show Bradley another side of her tonight. If things went well, she wanted to make sure he knew exactly who he was claiming to like.

"I do like it. And I like even more that you said my name right," she said with a smile. She remembered the journal entry where he'd confessed to not knowing how to say it correctly. Mispronunciation of her name wasn't new to Siobhan, but it could get on her nerves. Not that she blamed Brad for just going with a nickname. And he'd obviously taken her words to heart once she pointed it out. Her thoughts drifted back to the moment as she took a seat, glancing at the supplies curiously as she did so. Sib couldn't see what he had brought outside of the bag and the romantic setup of the candles, so she was excited to find out what muggle treasures he'd brought. "Isn't that what you should be deciding, love?" Her eyes twinkled as she watched Brad peer inside his bag. "What have you got in there?" she added, leaning close to him so she could try and peek too.

The level of teasing between Siobhan and Brad had not shifted too much from when they teased over the journals. He knew she liked to challenge people, especially if she was testing their worth. Which was not necessarily a bad thing, it was not like Siobhan was such an evil person that she thought she would not hang out with somebody if she did not find them impressive. What Brad knew of Siobhan already he definitely liked, she was beautiful, intelligent and quite fun to be around already with the definite Gryffindor qualities about her; qualities that he himself had as well. Seeing that sweet side of Siobhan as she complimented him on the set up was surprising, but surprising in a good way because he got the feeling not many people got to see this side.

Her compliment was definitely nice to hear and brad graciously took it. When she was being sincere he was not going to tease back like a jerk, he knew when to turn off the cockiness and this was definitely one of them. Brad was doing his best to impress Siobhan but he knew that attitude would only get him so far. It was ok to show her the sweet side of him as well. "I learned my lesson, I will not get it wrong again. Thank you for teaching me." Once he pulled the bag close Brad dug around before he pulled out a box of graham crackers, a bag of marshmallows and a package of chocolate bars; all muggle foods he was not sure Siobhan would have known about. "We have here madam, the supplies for the most amazing treat that will ever pass those beautiful lips." Smirking a bit Brad grabbed his wand and pointed it at the little fire pit; one quick spoken spell and a small fire blazed to life within it. "I am going to teach you how to make S'mores."

Not many people knew Siobhan had a girlier side. She definitely liked to keep it hidden, though not because she was ashamed. There was no doubt that she was a strong girl, and yet she still managed to be charming and flirtatious; desirable, even. It was just a lot more exposing to let your vulnerability show. She could come to terms with her emotions and softness, but she wasn't as quick to trust as others so she liked to keep some things close to her chest until she was sure. Brad gave off a trustworthy vibe, and she had enjoyed talking and flirting with him over journals and at parties. Sib figured at this point that she could start showing different sides; especially after such a sweet date. She'd never seen him go out with many girls, though she had seen him flirt on occasion and snog every so often. She didn't want to ask Bradley if this was a first date in general for him because that might embarrass him, but she had a feeling it was.

"Of course. I didn't want to sound mean, but sometimes little things get under my skin," she said with a smile. Siobhan hoped she hadn't sounded too bitchy with her journal, as she'd tried to be playful and teasing along with the seriousness. Her eyes trailed to the bag as Brad began pulling items out, and they were things she didn't quite recognize; aside from the chocolate and marshmallows. Why they were all gathered together, however, was beyond Sib's understanding. Raising an eyebrow at his comments, she couldn't help but smirk as intrigue lit up her green eyes. "S'Mores? What is a s'more might I ask?" It sounded interesting, but there was definitely a look of hesitation on her face as she spoke.

Brad was definitely happy to see that side of Siobhan, because just like everything about her it was beautiful. He could not help but smile while he was around her, especially when he was sure that he was seeing part of the girl not many got to see. If nothing came from this night at least Brad new he had this fun date with her and got a glimpse in to the complex girl; though he had to admit he definitely hoped and prayed that more would come from tonight. The longer Brad was with Sib the less nervous he felt; and the less nervous he felt the more his usual cockiness slipped away. It was not going to completely melt away because that ego was part of whom Brad was, but he knew he could drop some of those barriers around her. Brad wanted Sib to see all of him. brad felt these moments were special as they settled on the blankets together and got comfortable.

Thankfully he had not made a fool of himself yet, key word there was yet. Though the nerves were melting away they were still there, Brad was still not as experienced in the girl's department; a fact he hoped did not come to light too soon. "You didn't sound mean. Trust me. I understand it bothering somebody. I like your name. It's unique and beautiful, which is why I confessed not knowing how to say it right. I wanted to get it right for you. It's the least I could do." Brad felt heat creeping up on his cheeks but he hoped the lack of light hid any color as he busied himself with the bag and pulled out all the ingredients. Asd he placed it all on the blanket he was able to regain his composure after that slight blush; a large smirk playing across his lips. "A S'more is the most delicious thing you will ever eat!" Brad saw that hesitation and decided to explain the process so she as not so worried. "It is toasted marshmallow, chocolate and graham crackers. The whole thing is rather messy and rather gooey, but too delicious for words. Trust me. I do it no justice with my description!" Brad reached for the box of graham crackers and pulled it open before pulling out one of the packages of crackers. He set those down on the blanket and next opened the chocolate bars as well as the marshmallows. "Have you ever toasted marshmallows before?" Pulling one of the marshmallows out of the bag Brad scooped up a metal stick he had laying next to the fire pit and skewered the marshmallow on to it."

The sweet compliment from Brad had her smiling, though she didn't blush like some girls might have. Siobhan was confident in her looks, though she tried to keep it to a manageable degree for the most part. Still, it was sweet to hear him say something like that, and she definitely wanted to take the words gently instead of being her flirty self back. "It's not a big deal, though it means a lot you wanted to get it right. I appreciate that, along with calling it beautiful," she said softly. She thought she caught a hint of some red on Brad's cheeks, but he was looking down before she could figure out for sure. Had she known he was blushing she would have found it even more adorable, though her attention was fixated on the bag as he began pulling things out slowly.

"Most delicious? I'll be the judge of that. My mum makes some good stuff." Smirking, Sib peered at all the ingredients with a little bit of trepidation on her face. Nothing was so off the wall that she was grossed out, but she just didn't get the concept of how they all went together. As Bradley explained what a s'more was, however, she had a better understanding. Intrigued, she nodded, smiling as he was growing more and more excited by the second. "That sounds like it might be...interesting. Certainly has potential with chocolate added in," she mused with a smirk. Watching as Brad grabbed one of the metal rods laying beside the mini-fire, she raised an eyebrow again as she looked at the stick and then back at him. "Toast them? Like, how?" Muggles had the toasters and all that. The term didn't even make much sense to Sib because there was no bread and that's what she saw as 'toast'.

brad was not trying to lay it on thick, but he found complimenting Sib just came so naturally actually. The words slipped out before he thought about saying too much, what if she thought that he was just trying to play her with his sweet words? Brad definitely did not want Sib to get that idea; though everything he said had sincerity to them and they were followed by a smile most of the time. His nerves though were making him think that he may be trying a bit too hard to impress her. She was already here on this date with him so it was clear she wanted to be here. He just had to step back, take a deep breath and just be himself.

Brad thought the blush on his cheeks was embarassing which was why he turned to the bag so Sib did not see it. Men were not supposed to blush like little school girls. Focusing instead on the S'mores Brad ignored his cheeks and wished it would go away. Thankfully most of the heat subsided by the time he looked back up at Siobhan. "Trust me. They are amazing." He explained how they went together his question about toasting gaining a curious look from Sib and causing Brad to smile while he grabbed the poker. Her raised eyebrow brought a laugh to his lips while he slipped the marshmallow on to it and held it close to the fire. "Like this. You just want the sides a little singed, golden brown are the best. Though some people like to burn their marshmallows." Brad was too busy watching Siobhan as he toasted the marshmallow, the starlight playing perfectly across her features and distracting him while he spoke of cooking a marshmallow. Which was why when he looked back his marshmallow in question was not only black but it had caught fire. "Oh crap!" waving the poker just a bit Brad tried to put the marshmallow out but his actions only fanned the flames until the melty mallow slipped off of the poker and in to the little fire pit. "Well....that was how NOT to cook one." Slipping another on the end of the poker Brad tried again.

Siobhan didn't think he was laying it on thick. She had dated James Potter, after all. She was used to compliments and over the top behavior. It was cute that Brad was trying to impress her so much, though. Not that she knew he was trying as hard as he was, of course. She could see the slight nerves, and it was obvious the compliments were genuine even when he loaded them on a bit heavily. This date was off to a great start and Sib didn't foresee that changing anytime soon. She was a laid back girl for all her challenging and teasing tendencies, so it would take a lot for her to find the date unbearable. Unless Brad became boring out of nowhere.

"I am trying to trust you, but I just don't get the concept I guess." He had explained the general idea, but she still couldn't visualize the final product. Nor could Siobhan imagine how it would taste all together. Once he mentioned toasting a marshmallow, however, the incredulity rose a few notches. Brad was the expert here, but the idea of toasting marshmallows escaped her. How could one accomplish that? She didn't know of toasters or the like, as her family used magic to cook like most wizarding families. This would definitely be a learning experience, she figured; a thought that was confirmed when he held his marshmallow close to the fire by using the metal stick. It was a queer practice, though she watched with interest as he continued to cook the little thing.

Sib was so focused on what he was doing that she didn't notice him watching her so closely; nor did she stick her own marshmallow into the flames yet. A laugh escaped her lips as he noticed the sticky treat was on fire, and she couldn't stop herself from giggling even more as he waved it in hopes of putting the fire out. When it fell into the pit instead, Sib was almost rolling on the blanket she was laughing so hard; more so when he tried to save face and playfully pretend like he'd been demonstrating the wrong way on purpose. "Evidently. Thank you for that," she said, still smiling broadly. Copying his movements, Siobhan inched her stick forward slowly until it was just at the edge of the flames; a practice that would ultimately be ineffective, though she didn't realize that.

Things were going swimmingly already and the date had just began. This definitely was a good sign or the rest of their night, their teasing while still there had started to tapper off as they instead shared sincere compliments and smiles. Brad was trying not ti let his nerves start to creep up and thankfully they were staying in place as he bounced his focus from the marshmallows and to Sib. It was not a complicated process to make s'mores so he knew he could divide his attention. "You will see my dear. I promise."

Giving her a reassuring smile he put the marshmallow on his toasting stick and held it by the fire. Only Brad was not giving it the amount of attention it needed, he was too busy watching Siobhan watch what he was doing that he did not see his poor little marshmallow die by the flames. When he did finally realize it it was too late, his marshmallow was lost but that did not stop him from trying to put it out. Her laughter though was perfect, and as the burned ingredient fell in to the fire Brad was glad he had messed up because he got to see this reaction from Siobhan. Her laughter was beautiful and he could not help but pause a moment just to laugh softly with her before brushing his mistake off as intentional. "Of course. We don't want to go wasting our snacks now." Smirking Brad tried another marshmallow, this time he kept a closer eye on it and did not bring it so close to the fire.

"Alright. I'm trusting you on this. Just don't get offended IF I don't end up liking it," she warned with a smile. Siobhan didn't think that would happen, but one never knew. She hadn't eaten a lot of muggle foods so there was a chance it just wouldn't be her cup of tea. Once again, though, she was forced to remember that the treat included chocolate. It would be hard for her to hate something that had chocolate in it.

As Brad demonstrated what she was supposed to do, she watched with interest as he held the marshmallow close to the flames. She wasn't looking at his face, however, and missed him watching her instead of focusing on his task. The resulting mishap had Sib laughing rather uncontrollably, as it was entirely too amusing to see him shake at the stick in hopes of putting out the flames. When that didn't work and it fell into the pit, she was nearly dying as giggles took over. Brad didn't seem offended thankfully, as she didn't mean the laughter in a bad way. "I certainly don't want to be wasteful," she confirmed with a nod, unable to stop smiling. Leaning forward a bit more, she copied the way he rotated the stick, concentrating with adorable intent on making sure she got the toasting just right.

"I promise that I wont get....tooo offended." Brad just smirked and gave Siobhan a playful look out of the corner of his eyes as he teased, even with their sincere words and compliments he could not resist teasing still. It was fun after all to stop with the teasing. After the first marshmallow mishap Brad watched his second one more closely though he could not stop sneaking glances at Sib, watching how cute she was concentrating on her marshmallow. He played it off though as if he was looking at the way she was toasting her marshmallow. having her laugh at the loss of his first one was not bad because he got to hear that amazing laughter.

The second marshmallow was turning out great and he needed the graham crackers soon. But Brad had forgotten to rip open the package and as he reached for them he realized it was not going to he easy to do so one handed. "Here...could you hold this for me please?" Brad held his toasting stick out to Sib for her to take, and when she did he hurried to rip the cracker package as well as the chocolate bar package open. Opening one of the chocolate bars he broke it in have and placed on half on a half a cracker for each of them. As well as Brad snapped another cracker in half for the top of the s'more. Setting the little cracker sandwich down on his knee Brad reached for his marshmallow from Sib. "See you make a little sandwich of sorts. Cracker, chocolate, marshmallow and then cracker on top."

Judging by the tone of his voice, Brad didn't believe she wouldn't like the end result. It was that confidence again, but Sib didn't mind. She certainly could appreciate having faith in your favorite food. "It does have chocolate included so you've got a big plus there," she offered, grinning as they set up their marshmallows and began to cook them. Unlike Brad, she didn't lose focus for even a second, as she was determined to do this right. Siobhan didn't try so hard to make her date feel bad, it was just the way she was. Things often got turned into a competition where she was concerned.

As Brad spoke, she looked over, nodding as he handed her the stick he'd been holding. Sib didn't have a problem holding two, though her expression was curious as he began setting out crackers with chocolate pieces on top. She could smell the chocolate alongside the pleasing scent of fire and tinder, and the scent made her smile; thoroughly distracted from the marshmallows in her hands that were now dipping low into the flames. "Hmm, interesting. Like peanut butter and jelly," she mused, leaning close to inspect the half-made sandwiches on his knee. A loud pop from the fire caused Sib to jump, startled as she remembered she was supposed to be watching what she was doing.

"Bloody hell!" she exclaimed as she looked down and saw the marshmallow that was technically hers literally on fire like Brad's had been before. She remembered his efforts, which resulted in some violent shaking of her stick as she raised it from the fire in hopes of quelling the flames. Instead, the little flaming ball of goo went sliding off the stick since she hadn't stuck it far enough down. Siobhan's eyes widened as it flew directly at Brad, and she gasped in an attempt to warn him before it hit.

"Well good." Brad knew everybody liked different things and there was definitely the possibility that Sib would not like S'mores. If she did not he was not going to be upset. It was one of his favorite treats so he hoped she would have the same tastes as he did when it came to the snack. Teaching her how to make it was definitely fun as well. He could focus on the marshmallows and showing Siobhan the proper way to cook them, when he got it right, and his nerves would not bother him. His little mishap with the marshmallows was amusing and it got Sib to laugh so it was definitely worth it.

It did not take long for his marshmallow to be ready so Brad had to get the rest set out. he handed Siobhan his toasting stick and smiled when she took it from him. Making quick work Brad set out the cracker and the chocolate both propped up on his knee, that way if a mess was made it would be made on him and not her dress. "Yes I suppose so it could be like that. Before he could go any further this time Siobhan exclaimed, Brad's attention brought to her marshmallow and how it was on fire just as his first one had been. She attempted to do the same as he had done only Sib did not have any more luck then he did. The safe thing would have been if it had just slid in to the fire, but of course fate had a different plan. Instead the marshmallow came flying at him, a soft yelp slipping from hims as Brad attempted to bat the gooey mess away with his open palm, instead it stuck to him causing Brad to shake his hand in an attempt to get it off; splattering the marshmallow all over his shirt and even on his face before he gave up with a sigh. "Well......I guess I always wanted to be a s'more...think there is a chocolate bar and graham cracker big enough for me?" Brad was not upset about the mess, Siobhan had not meant for the marshmallow to come flying at him so the only thing to do was to make light of the situation instead.

Siobhan didn't really believe that she would hate the treat. It looked interesting and that was enough for her. Not to mention she'd been raised with enough manners that she wouldn't tell Brad even if she didn't like the s'more. That would just be rude and make him feel bad for no reason. "One thing, though. It would be SO much easier to cook these with magic!" she informed him with a laugh. While Sib appreciated all muggles could do without the help of magic, it seemed that this task of toasting them was a bit more complex than either had bargained for. Complex but fun, though.

She was about to say more to Brad when all hell broke loose again. This time it was her marshamllow that was on fire, and she couldn't help but laugh after she exclaimed her surprise. She couldn't believe she'd done the exact same thing even after he told her to watch out for such an outcome. "Watch out!" Sib said, trying to make sure the no doubt hot marshmallow didn't hit him and cause a burn. Instead of it avoiding Brad like she hoped, the thing collided with his hand as he tried to bat it away unsuccessfully. More laughter slipped from her as Siobhan watched him shake his hand in an effort to unstick the gooey thing. As it finally flew off and smeared over his face and shirt, her laughter increased, and she dropped the stick she was holding for him in her amusement as she laughed heartily.

"I'm not sure! But it'd be fun to try and make you into one," she said between giggles. Taking a moment to compose herself, she smiled at Brad as she reached out and wiped some of the mess from his face gently. Sticking the finger into her mouth, the smile increased a bit at the taste of toasted marshmallow. "Well. It certainly does taste good in this aspect," she mused, teasing by leaning in close as if about to lick the rest off his cheek. Instead, Sib pecked a kiss there as she wiped the rest off and held her finger out for Brad. "Want to taste?"

Brad thought he had made the last silly mistake of this evening. But he should have known better then to think that things would have gone so simply. He and Sib were having fun and they had just started their date. There was so much more fun to be had tonight and Brad had no doubt that they were going to get to it. He was proud that the simple and personal date was a hit, this gave Brad the chance to show Sib a side of him that not many saw.

The first melty marshmallow was funny; hearing Siobhan's laugh was worth the embarrassment he got for frying his marshmallow. Thankfully his second one went a lot better but he had forgotten to set everything out. After handing Siobhan his marshmallow stick Brad made quick work of setting up the s'more items and was going to take his marshmallow back when disaster struck again. Things would not have been so bad if the thing had fallen in to the fire but instead it came flinging at Brad; his attempts to bat it away ending in a stick mess as he sighed and teased.

Siobhan's response to his tease brought a smile to his lips as he glanced down at his messy clothing; another shake of his hand meant to get the rest of the marshmallow off but proving useless. As Sib reached for him Brad paused, his heart skipping a beat while her fingers trailed along his cheek and wiped the mess off before placing those finger in to her mouth. Brad's eyes were drawn to her hand; Sib's actions to follow as she leaned in causing him to draw in a sharp breath but instead she kissed his cheek and wiped the rest of the mess off before holding her hand out to him. Brad only smiled for a few seconds, those nerves boiling back up before he slowly leaned in took her offering; gently sucking the marshmallow off of her finger before releasing her finger. "Delicious."

Siobhan was usually a lot smoother than this, though she wasn't embarrassed by her mishaps. She had never toasted a marshmallow before, and that definitely showed as she tried her hand at it while Brad set up the rest of the items. It was a rookie mistake, though he had made the same one seconds before and was supposedly the expert. Her attempts ti fix the situation only made them worse, and Sib couldn't help but laugh again as she tried to shake the flaming marshmallow into the fire only to have it fly towards her date instead. She didn't want Brad to get burned by sticky goo that was caught on fire, but she really couldn't stop herself from laughing even as she told him to watch out.

Once it covered him in a messy way, the giggles increased at the sight of him coated in white goo. Most girls wouldn't have dared to do what Siobhan did next, but she was compelled as she looked at him covered in the melted treat. Leaning in close was a purposeful attempt to stir Bradley up and make him think she was going to press her lips to his own. Instead, she swiped off some of the goo and ate it slowly before going back to kiss his cheek teasingly. Holding out her hand, Sib wasn't sure if he would take her offer or not; though she was pleasantly surprised when he sucked the marshmallow off then pulled back. A shiver moved down her spine, though she kept the smile on her face to mask it. "I told you it was. But I still want to try the whole thing."

The fact that Sib did almost exactly what he did was perfect, her actions were just as silly as his own. It was clear they had both dropped a good amount of barriers tonight, perhaps it was the privacy and the fact that they liked each other or it could have been a host of different things. Whatever it was Brad definitely liked it. Once it was clear the marshmallow was not going to burn him badly Brad was not upset about it. She had not launched it at him on purpose, and it gained that delicious reaction as she wiped the mess off his cheek and sampled it herself before offering her hand to him.

When Siobhan leaned in Brad's laughter died off, though a half smile did stay on his lips while he watched her actions. He was holding his breath without even realizing he was as she wiped his cheek and then kissed him as well. The offer of her hand was a surprise for sure but Brad did his best not to over think her actions. He just acted, drawing her finger in to him mouth gently and doing a good job of cleaning the rest of the marshmallow off before releasing her hand with a smile. "Lets try that again shall we? And this time...no taking our eyes off the marshmallows until they are done." Smiling reassuringly Brad gave Sib another marshmallow and slipped one on to his toasting stick before holding it to the fire again.

The slight show of chemistry and attraction was unexpected. Siobhan thought he was very good looking, of course, but she wasn't the type of girl to engage in such teasing activities the first date. It wasn't like she was snogging him senseless or anything, but it was still surprising how much natural attraction they had between them. Giving him a smile as he finally released her finger, she tried not to let Brad see how her body flushed at the small display she'd instigated. There were s'mores to make, after all. Sib could only hope they succeeded in their task on the next try.

"Right. Keep your eye on the marshmallow at all times. Got it," she confirmed with a grin. Taking the one Brad handed her, she placed it on the end of her stick more securely before extending it into the fire again. This time she kept her eyes on the marshmallow every time despite how much Sib wanted to turn and look at her companion. It was definitely hard not to turn her head, but she wasn't going to lose another marshmallow after all they'd been through trying to make these things.

Brad was trying not to show any surprise at the heat which rippled over him after their share of such a playful yet intimate act. When he pulled back it took Brad a few moments to catch his breath before he continued on about the marshmallows. He focused on putting one marshmallow on to his toasting stick before handing another marshmallow to Siobhan so she could do the same. After that last little moment there, the naughty let still slightly innocent act there was a permanent red tinge to Brad's cheeks. He did not see the color on Sib's cheeks though no doubt he was looking long enough.

Clearing his throat Brad went back to watching his marshmallow and making sure it was well toasted. Brad fought the urge to look over to Sib; only the fact that they had the whole night together saved him so he watched his marshmallow. When it was well and toasted Brad pulled back the stick and placed the marshmallow on top of the chocolate, using the top graham cracker to slide the stick out before he held up the finished s'more. "Ta-da. A finished s'more. Third times a charm."

It was harder than she anticipated to keep her eyes on the marshmallows instead of Brad. Not that she had spent most of the date staring at him, but now that she couldn't it seemed that's all Sib wanted to do. Only the promise of an actual genuine s'more kept her from turning her head, as she didn't want to fail twice. Once had been amusing, and enjoyable, but twice would just be embarrassing. Risking a glance at Brad's stick to see how he was toasting his marshmallow, she copied the motions of rotating the metal to evenly crisp the white treat golden brown on all sides. It was definitely a task of patience and focus, but Siobhan found it incredibly fun and rewarding. What better feeling than knowing you'd worked for what you wanted?

Pulling hers back as it reached a satisfactory color, she held it up to Brad proudly. "Look at that! A beauty of a job, I dare say." Grinning, she watched him make his own s'more before reaching to grab the crackers and chocolate he'd set on his knee for her as well. Sticking the heated marshmallow on top of the chocolate, Sib squished the other graham cracker on top until it was oozing down the sides a bit. Smiling at the finished product, she couldn't help a teasing wink at his triumphant words. "Aye, though it would've been so much easier to just go like this," she mused, taking her wand in the hand not holding the s'more and producing another already made.

"Easier, but not as much fun," she added, smiling genuinely as she eyed the treat. "I want you to take a bite at the same time as me. Pretend it's your first time too."

Brad managed to sneak a few glances here or there to Siobhan while they tried the third time to toast their marshmallows correctly. But they were barely enough to really be much of a look since he quickly looked back to his marshmallow. This time around the whole process went a hell of a lot better then his first try. Once they had their treats ready they could turn to each other and talk as they ate. His marshmallow was ready and Brad pulled it back to place it on top of the chocolate; demonstrating just how to slide the marshmallow off without having to get your fingers all stick. "It is definitely a beauty of a job. A perfect marshmallow if you ask my opinion."

Brad watched Siobhan make her s'more before she teased and produced one with her wand. "You're right where is the fun in THAT? Where is the pleasure of making you own, the pleasure of sitting out here by this wonderful fire under these beautiful stars?" Smirking brad held up his s'more as if to propose a toast. "To good treats with amazing people." Once she had her s'more Brad waited until Sib took her bite, his own bite coming at the same time as he watched her reaction.

"I can kind of see why muggles don't mind not having magic," she mused with a smile. Siobhan knew some of them probably wished they had some, but she'd met a lot who didn't care about that stuff. It was amazing how many things they had figured out how to do without magic; things wizards were still working on in some ways. She was proud when Brad confirmed her though about the result of her final toasting. It wasn't a competition, but Sib always thought in those terms. Not that she was going to rub in his face that she thought hers had won. She was just happy they both had finally succeeded in their task and could now get to the good part: eating.

Holding her s'more up to Brad's, she smiled as she touched hers to the edge of his in toast. "Here here," she confirmed, giving him one more smile before she bit into the treat. It only took a few seconds before the taste hit her tongue, and Siobhan was instantly smiling broadly even as she chewed and swallowed. "Holy! Merlin, that's delicious!" Taking another bite eagerly, it was obvious she loved the s'more just by the look on her face and the way she went at it excitedly. "The heat of the marshmallow like melts the chocolate and blends it all together! It's...it's brilliant," she exclaimed after another few bites of obvious enjoyment. "Can we make more?" Sib's mouth was full as she spoke the request, and she instantly looked sheepish as she covered it and gave Brad a hopeful smile.

"They can get along quite well." Brad smiled playfully at Siobhan. Up until he received his hogwarts letter Bradley was a muggle, living a life without magic. And it most definitely was not a bad life. He loved that he had magic now, or rather he knew how to use it. He always had it but it was dormant because he did not have the proper training to use his skill. Brad was proud of what he was, he was proud that his parents were muggles. Even being born of two people who knew no magic Brad was a talented wizard; and that was not cockiness talking. Brad believed strongly that muggle borns could be just as amazing as any pureblood witch or wizard. So he was definitely glad when Siobhan was having so much fun making s'mores. She never gave off the image to him that she cared about blood status so of course he did not have any issues with her in that department.

In fact he did not have any issues with her period. Brad love everything he learned about Siobhan, and he was learning more tonight as they opened up to each other. Toasting their s'more to each other Brad watched Sib's expression and was not disappointed as it blossomed to that happy one. He had a nice big bite of his own s'more and was chewing as he nodded a bit. "Told you. Amazing aren't they?" Taking another big bite Brad managed to get marshmallow on his chin as he laughed softly, that cute sheepish look making him smile. "Of course we can make more, i brought a lot of supplies." Brad nudged the bag to show that there was another bag of marshmallows as well as another package of chocolate bars inside, even a few sodas were in there as well to help wash a few things down. He had to add muggle soda's with their muggle treats tonight.

Siobhan was glad that he didn't take her words the wrong way. She was not some purist git who thought muggles were a waste of space and all muggleborns were therefore useless. In fact, she was quite fascinated by all the things muggles could do. She wasn't one to obsess over their technology or inventions, nor did she know a whole lot outside of what her mates told her, but she still found them pretty awesome. Naturally she knew that Bradley was a muggleborn, but he was one of the best talents in his year. He definitely had a knack for spells, as she'd seen on occasion, and he was shaping up to be a good duelist she'd been told. Blood status meant nothing, it was the person on the inside that counted in her eyes. "I can see that. We wizards don't know what we're missing."

Winking playfully, she couldn't help but giggle as he toasted her s'more. Sib found everything she was seeing from him adorable, and it was really just furthering the attraction she felt. She wasn't an overly guarded person, but Brad made her feel more comfortable than a lot of guys she'd dated; save for James, of course. Her eager bite into the s'more was definitely spurred on by having to wait so long for this supposed amazing treat, and it definitely didn't disappoint. Siobhan wasn't faking her obvious enjoyment as she exclaimed in excitement over the delicious taste. It all melded together brilliantly, and she couldn't help the eagerness as she took several more bites. Talking around food wasn't ladylike, but she was just too excited to think of proper manners right now.

"Brilliant! You are my new favorite," she exclaimed as Brad told her there was plenty left to make more. Seeing the marshmallow on his chin that he hadn't realized yet, she smiled and reached out to wipe it away with one slender finger. "Somebody is getting all messy," she teased, not knowing she had some chocolate on the side of her mouth herself.

Some might have gotten offedned by Siobhan's words and just how they wounded. She did not say them to insult Muggles and muggle born. Brad knew she had nothing wrong with them, just like most of the students in their house did not have any issues. Brad was proud of who he was and nobody would put his heritage down, though he knew he did not have to worry about that around Sib. She was fun and playful and she was sweet as well. Brad was seeing that sweetness now. After their first marshmallow mishap they did a lot better this time around. When they bit in to their treats Brad let out a little bit of a sigh, the treat just as delicious as he remembered it to be. Sib's reactions was perfect, the best he could hope for and he could not help but beam happily when she exclaimed about how amazing it was.

"I am glad you think so. I don't know what I would do if you hated it." Brad took her like for the treat as praise for his idea for this date but he was not going to be mr cocky about it all. He was having too much fun for any of that to slip in to their evening now. He was definitely glad that he had packed extras, even though they had not gone through the amount in the packages he had set out on the blanket. he could not help but blush when she said he was her new favorite. "Thank you.....i rather fancy you." This time his cheeks deepened a darker shade of red; her hand coming to brush away marshmallow drawing a laugh from him. "I could say the same for you." Reaching over Brad gently brush his thumb at the corner of Sib's mouth, swiping away the chocolate and showing it to her.

"I'm sure you would have survived, or thought of something else," she reassured him with a smile. Siobhan was definitely realizing how much he liked her, and she saw that he had tried very hard to impress her tonight. "Even if I had hated it, the company would have more than made up for my dislike." Giving Brad a genuine smile, she continued to enjoy her s'more with obvious childlike wonder. She was glad he had brought extras, since she wasn't sure she could stop at just one. They were small so Sib used that to help justify her instant addiction. It was quickly becoming apparent that saying yes to Brad and listening to her gut had been the right decision. All doubts about liking him and whether it was genuine were gone now. Siobhan was positive she really liked this sixth year, and was liking him more and more the longer they hung out.

His confession in response to her playful words caught her off guard, but not in a bad way. Hearing Brad say he fancied her sent a wash of warmth over her skin, and she couldn't help the blush that flamed to her cheeks at the words. Sib felt a bit like a silly school girl with a crush, but she didn't really mind knowing they were on the same page. As she reached out to wipe the marshmallow from his chin, she couldn't help but giggle as Brad returned the favor and took care of the chocolate she hadn't noticed was on her mouth. "Well I guess so! Though...I don't think we should waste chocolate!" Smirking, she leaned forward, taking plus lips to encircle his finger and suck the chocolate away slowly before she sat back again. "I'll have to be more careful next time, huh?" she asked, smiling as she watched for his reaction.

"Im sure I could have....but...to be honest I hinged on this working." Brad allowed his cheeks to blush, there was really no point stopping the flush of color now as they teased a bit more intimately. Before he could hide it behind his cocky response but not now; brad did not want to hide behind that all the time. "I had this idea to show you s'mores and just...have a nice evening out here. So I was hoping you liked them as much as I do." Brad poked at the fire with his stick, burning the rest of the marshmallow off and preparing it for another marshmallow since they both had eaten the rest of their s'mores rather quickly.

He continued with confessions, saying he fancied her before he had a chance to talk himself out of the words and it had worked out well because Siobhan did not react badly. In fact Brad was sure he saw some color flash to her cheeks. Brad was glad he told her that he liked her, just in case she did not get that idea just yet. He definitely had a crush on Siobhan and Brad was not going to pretend he didnt; perhaps behind honest would help his chances. Sib reached and wiped off Brad's face once more, her touch sending a spark of electricity over him as he smiled and returned the favor to wipe the chocolate from her mouth. "No we certainly should not." Before Brad could do anything about the chocolate Sib was taking care of it, drawing his finger in to his mouth once more; this time a soft barely audible gasp slipped from his lips. "If you wish....I don't mind helping you clean up..."

The flush to his cheeks was really too cute. Siobhan couldn't believe she was making him blush so much. They were both rather confident, so opening up this way and being genuine was a bit new. She wasn't used to dropping the ego, though hers wasn't as big as Brad's. Tonight they were letting all that go and it was incredibly relieving. "It is a wonderful idea. I love it and I love s'mores. You did well," she mused with a smile. Seeing him set up the sticks for more marshmallows sparked her excitement, as Sib was eager for another. She had practically devoured the first, in less than ladylike fashion, and now she was ready to have a second. She kind of hoped either she or Bradley made another mistake considering how amusing their first attempts had been.

As he put her own marshmallow on the end of the stick, she couldn't help but blush a little herself when he confessed to having a crush on her. Sib knew it took a lot to admit that kind of thing, especially to someone older. She was definitely that elusive and untouchable sort of girl, though she teased about more than she actually took part in. The honesty didn't go unnoticed, though she was distracted when Brad showed her the chocolate she'd missed. It was another impulse to suck it off his finger, and she immediately didn't regret it as he gasped softly. Pulling back, Siobhan just grinned as she turned half of her attention to the marshmallows. "Well. So long as I know I have your help if I need it," she mused, sparing him a glance so he could see the smile on her lips.

Brad gave up on hiding the blush on his cheeks, it was his genuine reaction and he wanted Siobhan to see those types of things from him. It made him more human to see that she could make his cheeks flush. Not that he was not human before of course but behind that strong front and ego there was a real person whom was more then just the cockiness. While Brad definitely stood his ground and had courage about him there was a side of him that could blush in the situation and with the right person. Sib was definitely the right type of person. The intimacy of their date location definitely helped break down any barriers as well. "Thank you. I am glad." He could have made some comment about how he knew he was going to do well because he was that awesome but it did not fit the mood now with everything they had already shared.

Brad made sure to melt the rest of the marshmallow off of his stick as well as Sib's before reaching for two more. This time he made sure to break up the chocolate and crackers and set them out before hand so they would be ready before they toasted their marshmallows. After his confession Brad focused on his marshmallow for a few moments, making extra sure it was pushed down properly on the stick as not to have another mishap. Her way of removing the chocolate from his finger surprised him but in a good way; a good amount of heat washed over him after that actions and brad was silent for a few moments until he regained his composure again. Her grin caused him to grin while he held his marshmallow toward the fire again. "Of course. You will always have my help when needed. It would be my pleasure."

"See I'm not so scary am I? Just a regular girl," she teased with a smile, bumping his shoulder playfully for effect. Siobhan knew she was a regular girl before, but she definitely had created a reputation. She liked being elusive, liked being the hard to get girl that everybody wanted. It was a lot easier than being vulnerable, though she had nothing against opening up and being herself. She simply was rather unable to be tamed in the eyes of the other students, and she could tell Brad had been a bit nervous at first. That was flattering, but she was glad he had turned out to be more than just a typical cocky Gryffindor. While that was intriguing and attractive to Sib, she valued a little more substance too. The location was perfect for a little intimacy, and they were both letting the egos down for a bit. It would never go away completely, but she was glad to see the Bradley behind everything else.

As she let her thoughts wander, half of her attention was on him while he set up the next round of s'more makings. Taking her stick from him once the chocolate was cleaned off, Sib started to toast it as if she hadn't just done something incredibly enticing. "That is good to know. Us Gryffindors have to stay together," she said with a smile, though she got the feeling Brad might have had a bit more meaning behind those words. A few minutes of companionable silence fell as they let the fire do its job, but of course Siobhan O'Callaghan couldn't stay quiet for long.

"So tell me about your family. What're they like?" She wasn't really meaning the whole muggle lifestyle thing, but certainly welcomed Brad to tell her that sort of thing if he felt comfortable doing so.

"Siobhan, there is nothing regular about you and that is what I like about you." The way Brad said regular did not make it sound like a bad thing, and the fact that he was smiling sweetly at her as he said it added to the fact that he meant that definitely as a compliment. Brad was not about to make a dumb mistake and say something rude to Sib, not when things were going as well as they were going now. This was not how Brad expected the night to go, not because he thought she was oh so horrible that she was going to be nasty to him. Brad just was not sure how he was going to stand up; clearly he was doing better then he thought. He and Sib were opening up to each other; seeing sides they had not revealed in their teasing.

The silence fell on them but it was no uncomfortable as Brad set up the rest of their s'mores items. He got it all set and ready for when they had their marshmallows all toasted up and ready to get on the set up sandwiches. Brad didnt mind the silence in fact, it was just nice to sit here with Siobhan. As she asked about his family Brad's attention turned back to her as he smiled; not many people asked about his family. Not many wanted to know. It surprised him thaty she had asked.. "My family? They are......interesting."
