"Internet..." John echoed, listening to her explain it. It sounded fascinating! "So it's like a phone?" he asked, slightly confused as to why they would need to create something new to serve a purpose they already had phones to do.
"That's true, I guess I just never thought about how much technology changed to get to the point I'm at," he agreed, thinking about how much it had changed in the years he had been alive. He remembered having only a black and white television. He hadn't even known they came in color until he moved to the States a few months back.
"Good point," he acknowledged her logical choice to stay for the night. "I didn't even think about that. I only live a couple of blocks passed the place where I found the house, but it would be pretty hard for you to get back."
He knew he really should try to get back to pick Mattie up from Sophia's, but he was reluctant to leave Rory alone in the house. Just because they hadn't seen anyone, or anything, dangerous or strange yet, didn't mean there wasn't. Sophia would take care of Mattie, he was sure, and so he put his worries about his brother to the back of his mind.
"Do you want to look around a little more before we go back upstairs? I could use another snack, and something to drink," he grinned, wondering if there was anymore of that cherry pie.
