"It was, really," Rory smiled, "Mom's got a knack for making places nice. Sort of amazing given how she grew up. I love my grandarents and all but they so don't get my mom."
She followed John from the room and smiled as he admired the dining room that greeted them, "Do you really like art or something? 'Cause you seem to have a lot more appreciation for the way this place is decorated than most guys I know."
She wasn't trying to tease him, just making an observation. She cuoldn't disagree that it was a beautiful room. Not formal, but nice. And despite it's spotless appearance, she just knew there were generations of history here like elsewhere. Or at least with the furniture. But somehow the whole place felt like it.
