"But..." John wondered, still trying to wrap his head around the fact that he was talking to someone 2 years older than him, but actually 22 years younger.
"I'm not so fond of the padded room idea," he replied, "but I wonder what year it'll be when we leave... if we leave."
"Government, uh huh," he added, surprisingly not really thinking about a government conspiracy considering what year it was. Like most 13 year old boys, he really wasn't that interested in the inner workings of the American government.
