"Well, if you like it, that's all that matters, right?" Rory pointed out when he said he knew the jacket was ragged.
He seemed surprised by the way she was treating him. Almost as if he never had anyone be nice to him in his entire life. It made her really sad to think that was even possible. She was surrounded by a town of people who loved her and she had no doubt they'd be there for her for the rest of her life.
"Nice to meet you, too, John," she smiled back, chosing to go with John since that was how he'd introduced himself.
"Yeah. Crazy, right?" Rory asked, "So there's a front door to this place somewhere. Good to know. Where were you before you came inside?"
This was too weird... they'd both found completely different ways into the same place, and somehow she questioned even being in the state, nevermind Hartford, anymore.
