Riku really didn't feel like going through all the details with the younger boy, and instead continued to walk at an appropriate pace as far away from Merlin's House and as close to his own as he could go. It was more than just Leon that had gotten Riku upset. Not only was he extremely upset about not being able to enjoy his quiet life for just a decent amount of time before being thrust into the limelight of danger again, but the only people he knew here were Sora and Kairi. He was learning quickly that he wasn't accepted in Radiant Gardens, and he felt more alone than ever. The truth was, there was nothing Sora or anyone could do about it. Riku had faced the facts on the concrete steps and sooner or later Sora and Kairi would have to do the same thing.
"I just had a disagreement with your friend back there," he said, his voice flat and monotone, "you don't need to worry about it Sora."
The green eyed teen began to walk more briskly, the burning in his calves somehow calming his nerves. He didn't care that Sora was having to work at keeping up with his pace. He half hoped the brunette would turn around. The last thing Riku wanted to do was have to see Sora's face when he told him where he was going.
