Marcus was actually enjoying the mid-season break. He actually had time to catch up with the team's finances and fix a few things on that end, he had time to spend with Sam, and for the first time in ages, he actually had time for something of a social life. Contrary to what the papers had been saying, his social life hadn't been nearly exciting as it used to be. Sure, he'd been out a few times and yeah, he'd gone home with more than a few girls over the last few months, but nothing like what they'd been claiming. Actually, he'd been quite enjoying his hang out time with Astoria, if he was going to be honest with himself.
The only thing he needed more of in his life was Clint, but with his being out of town and expecting a baby, Marcus didn't see that happening anytime soon. It was a bit sad, actually. But he knew eventually Clint would come back to him. What was that saying? If you love something, let it go and if it's meant to be it'll come back? Yeah, that was pretty much applicable to him and Clint currently. As gay of a thought as that was. But for fuck's sake, Clint was his best mate. He was more of a brother to him than his actual brothers had ever been. But it was understandable that he was a bit preoccupied. Not only was his wife whiny and high strung, she was bloody pregnant and that just seemed...miserable. Maybe he should send a few bottles of alcohol to Clint or something. Bloke could probably use it at this point.
But, Clint could wait for another day he supposed, because this evening he was hanging out with his cousin. Seriously, Marcus couldn't get away from that family if he tried, between Clint and Katie and Tracey and Astoria...he'd be royally fucked if something happened to their family. Walking into the agreed upon bar, it didn't take long to find the little midget. She put off this 'look at me wrong and I'll bite off your ear' vibe and he couldn't help but laugh lightly at how very unpleasant she managed to make herself when she wanted to. Making his way over to her, he couldn't help but reach down and ruffle up her hair, just to be annoying. "You know, it's impolite to put your feet on the table. I mean, I know you've been out of society for a bit now but...that doesn't mean you should revert back to being a heathen," he said with an obviously amused and playful smirk.
