Kyra set her glass on a table as they walked out onto the dance floor. She wanted to smile again, even if for one dance with him. "It wasn't a demand so much as a request," she said with a small smirk and stepped into his arms. Kyra hadn't danced with anyone in years and right then she wanted to keep someone's hand on the small of her back and twirl around a dance floor with them as though she didn't have a care in the world.
"I'm sorry I didn't tell you my name," she said as they began to move to the music. "It wasn't a good night for me."
