Rating: Idek. We'll see. It IS Mandy and Roger.
It was Friday night and Mandy was worn out from the past week. Sighing, she headed into the bathroom, wanting nothing more than to take a hot bath. Turning the water on, she let the water run. Tossing her hair into a pony, Mandy leaned over, picking up Roger's shirt and jeans off the floor. Something fell out of the pocket and Mandy looked around, not seeing whatever it was that fell. Sighing, Mandy really didn't want to crawl around on the bathroom floor. She'd been spending too much time there as it was. Stripping down, she tossed their clothes into the hamper and stepped towards the tub. A sharp, piercing pain shot through her foot. "Bloody fuck!" she swore, pain shooting up the ball of her foot. Nearly tripping, Mandy looked down, trying to see what she'd stepped on. The light reflected off something and she narrowed her eyes, mouth falling slightly agape when she saw what had caused her pain. Reaching down, she picked up a ring. A very large, diamond ring. There was no doubt what that ring was and Mandy slowly stood up, holding the ring away from her as she stared at it.
A ring. Oh bloody hell. An engagement ring. Shaking, Mandy stared at the large diamond. It was huge. Ridiculously huge. Glancing back at the jeans, she stared at them, wondering why he'd left them there anyway. "Oh my God," she murmured. Standing naked in the bathroom, Mandy held the jeans in one hand and the ring in the other. Merlin. She was going to be sick. She placed it gently on the edge of the sink and wrapped a towel around her. Putting the lid down on the toilet, Mandy sat down, staring at the sparkling diamond. Bloody hell. An engagement ring. Maybe he was jut holding on to it for someone. Mandy tried to think of any of their friends who were close to marriage at all and not one name came to her mind. He couldn't be serious. They'd just gotten back together.
Her hand drifted to her abdomen. She'd noticed a slight pooch beginning to show but hoped Roger wouldn't notice. Marriage and babies. Biting her lip, she reached out and picked it up. She wanted to slide it onto her finger but refrained. Roger Davies wanted to marry her. "Oh my God," she said, shaking. "He knows..." That had to be it. He had to know she was pregnant. That'd be the only reason he'd do this. There was no way Roger was going to marry her and- her heart was pounding and skin sweaty. Some of the water began to overflow and she felt a small puddle at her feet. Quickly turning it off, Mandy drained some of the water and stared at the ring, sitting smugly on the corner of the sink.
