Astoria brightened when Emma offered to go grab them drinks. That would solve the problem. She'd get alcohol and not have to be in close quarters with Daphne. Perfect. "Would you?" she grinned. "I knew there was a reason I liked you. Firewhiskey for me, please?"
She couldn't ignore them forever, but for the moment she was content to do just that. She'd already given her current landlord notice and was moving her things back to the manor. Mother needed a babysitter and she had more than enough backbone to make sure she toed the line. With the new wards and Mother's presence she'd be able to keep them away for a while, at least. That would have to be enough.
When Emma moved away to get the drinks, she shot the bloke eying Emma a dark look. "You best move along," she responded, making it clear that his attention was not wanted.
