Mandy was tired. She was always tired lately and the fact that Roger was practically forcing her to come to this thing just made her grouchy. She'd been working so much, she hadn't even had time to really think of a costume. And honestly? She wasn't really into dressing up or anything like that. She thought it was silly and pointless. Still, it was for a good cause and she could use a little bit of a break. Her nerves, however, didn't agree with her. She wasn't into the spotlight business and that's what this would be. At least, until they got inside. It had taken her an hour to come up with a costume and it'd ended up being so ridiculously simple and easy, that she was glad she this was a casual affair. She'd gone digging through Roger's closet and pulled out one of his old Ravenclaw jerseys from school. A pair of shorts and a toy broom completed her outfit and she just shrugged. She was pale, tired and sick. If Roger was going to force her to go to this thing, well, he could deal with her lack of creativity.
Heading downstairs, she stared at Will, who looked at her and grinned. "Cute, Brocklehurst," he said, lounging on the sofa in his costume. Drinking a beer, and waiting for his friends, he yawned. Not really into this whole thing.
"Are you sure you should be wearing that around kids?" she asked, sitting down across from him, brow raised.
Will grinned and finished off his beer. "What? I thought you'd appreciate the historical reference to the Spartans," he said, scratching his stomach. "Besides. Women should get to see these."
Mandy rolled her eyes and leaned her head back against the chair, legs curled up under her, waiting for Roger to finish whatever it was he was doing so they could go and then come back. It had been a long, tiring week and she had too much on her mind to really enjoy this party.
