Who: Roger and Mandy When: Sunday morning Where: Her labs at the Ministry What: Adventures in potions making. Rated/Status: High. Incomplete.
Roger sighed and leaned against a low cabinet in Mandy's lab at the Ministry, irritated that he was there. He wasn't supposed to touch anything, and Mandy kept telling him to be quiet and let her concentrate, so all he had to do was to stand there and huff and puff as loudly as he could. It didn't help in the least that she was wearing her sexy librarian glasses, and he was still peckish from yesterday's game. That had been the absolute worst, watching from the ground as his team made goal after goal, kept the other team scoreless- and then those fucking assholes caught the snitch and won anyway. Thinking about it still got him riled. He'd probably be riled for a while. At least until their stupid Seeker could learn to catch the damn snitch once in a while.
"You know it's Sunday," he reminded Mandy, taking an empty vial and tossing it lightly between his hands. "We shouldn't even be out of bed yet. Maybe in the shower, that would be acceptable. But not testing potions on a Sunday. This fucking sucks. I'd rather be in church."
He stared at the bottle of beer sitting in front of him, which Mandy was using to gauge how he reacted to the potions. If she was successful, he wouldn't want to crack open the bottle and chug it down in one gulp, like he really wanted to now. He sighed again, tossing the vial higher. "I'm hungry. Let's go get brunch. And then take a nap. And then we can come back after that."
