Roger was so tense it was almost hard to hold her. He was practically buzzing, just wanting to move and work off all this energy. But he kept his arms around his girl, hands coming up to stroke her hair as Mandy sniffled into his chest. Ravenclaws and their clever hands-on lessons. He had to hand it to her, but at the same time, fuck.
"Definitely does," Roger agreed, smiling faintly. "He's tried unsticking it but I was stone-cold sober when I stuck it. That's never coming off." He sighed and wrapped his arms a little tighter around her. "I don't want you to be like those girls. I like you because you're bookish and sweet and you're Mandy. If I wanted any of the slutty girls I've dated before I would have stayed with them. I want you. I always wanted you. I know you're way more patient than I deserve. But give me another chance, Mandy. Just one more. No more smelling like other girls. I promise. Never again."
He brushed her tears away with the pad of her thumb, kissed her nose because it didn't have stupid Gavin on it. "You have me forever. This is yours. Always." He pulled up her hand and pressed it against his heart, still hammering in his chest. "You're enough. And I never want to hurt you again. I love you."
