Who: Marcus, Katie and Elena Addison When: Saturday Night Where: The Dorchester, London What: Idek. Status: In-progress Rating: Language for now
Katie was reeling. That was really the only emotion that registered after finding out, in a not so subtle way, who her biological father actually was and what that entailed. She felt a bit sick of the whole bit of it as well. It was early Saturday morning and she was sitting by the window, drinking a calming draught and staring out at the grey, rainy morning. It was fitting, really. Her mood matched the weather. Gloomy and sad. The owls had already started pouring in and she'd decided to redirect everything to Addison. She'd just let her publicist deal with this. Biting her lip, she watched her neighbor struggle with his dog before standing up and running upstairs. Katie packed a quick bag, scrawled a quick letter to her publicist and handed her owl a treat before sending her off, with directions to leave her be. She was getting away. She didn't want to deal with the questions and the mess that Warrington had decided to drag her into. She didn't exactly appreciate the way he'd gone about it and last week, she'd decided she was fairly content with not knowing and had no plans of looking into it at all. And now all this? It was too much and too exhausting. Making a quick stop to her little safe, she pulled out her muggle credit cards and headed to the Dorchester. Escaping into Muggle London seemed a fitting way to go about the weekend. Plus, the idea of facing Marcus right now made her a little ill.
Elena Addison was losing it. It was nearly seven at night and she'd been bombarded by owls regarding Katie Bell and Clint Warrington. She really appreciated the chance that Katie Bell was giving her. This was huge for her career but it was too much. The sheer amount of fan mail and hate howlers her client received was unreal and she didn't know how the Chaser stood it. And now? Now she was the only one who knew where Katie was and it was just absolutely too stressful. Her client had holed herself up in muggle London and hadn't told anyone. Nobody had been able to get in touch with her and now Marcus Flint was standing in front of her, yelling and she really thought she was going to burst into tears and cry.
"Mr. Flint, " she said, voice shaking just a bit but firm. "I really don't know what to tell you. I'm sorry I can't be of more help." Merlin. Marcus Flint was fucking terrifying and she had no idea how to deal with him. Her eyes flickered around her office, hoping he'd leave. Katie had said she wanted privacy and she'd barely been out of contact twelve hours and already people were freaking out that they couldn't locate her. It must be strange to be that important.
