It had been a few months since Marcus had had a party and he wasn't sure why he felt the need to have one now, but it seemed like a good time. Things were fairly calm and after all of the drama that had been happening lately, a fun and relaxing night with friends sounded brilliant. Of course, it wasn't just friends that would be there. Everyone was invited, as always, and while typically very few people outside of his social circle ever bothered to show up, he got the feeling that this time would be different. He blamed Katie, really. Marcus highly doubted Harry fucking Potter would have ever given a Marcus Flint part a second thought, but thanks to Katie, he'd apparently said he'd try to stop by or something. But Marcus didn't plan on causing issues. There were always enough people at these things to make avoiding people he didn't like incredibly easy.
People had already started showing up. A fair number of the reserves players from the Falcons, their random slutty dates and their even more random slutty friends. A few people that Marcus thought he might recognize from school. He never really paid much attention to who showed up to his parties, except for the few people that he really cared about being there. Katie was supposed to show up at some point, though she might have been there already and he just hadn't seen her yet. The sight of Daphne had been a good indication that Clint was around and it hadn't taken long for Marcus to find him.
The place was filling up rather quickly, as it tended to do. There was music in all of the rooms and there were multiple places on each floor where people could get pretty much anything that they wanted to drink. With any luck, things wouldn't get too out of control over the evening, but it was pretty unlikely that things would stay calm and civil and quite so clothed.
