Mandy knew she should be grateful for everything Harry was doing for her and she was, really. She didn't expect not to go unscathed or unpunished during any of this but she couldn't help but feel like she was trading one indentured servitude for another. This whole experience was putting her off of potion making but at the same time, she was somewhat excited to be able to experiment with Ministry ingredients. It'd be rather nice to have the opportunity to use what she liked without worrying too much about the cost and if she'd be able to pay her rent of buy groceries.
"I'm not a hero, Harry," she said, smiling ruefully. She'd worked her bum off looking for a cure for the pureblood sickness. Mandy just happened to be good at Potion's and that didn't make her heroic or anything at all. It just made her talented. And it was honestly one talent she'd rather not have. After all, if she didn't have it, she wouldn't have to worry about any of this mess and she could just... go on with her life and bake cookies or something. Of course, she knew she'd miss brewing and while she felt a bit dramatic about the whole thing, logically, what Harry was saying made sense.
"I just wish I'd been brave enough to say no," she said, voice breaking over the last words. She'd never cried about any of this. Not to Drew or ROger. Well, Roger didn't know much. He didn't know quite what she was involved in. She'd felt so utterly alone and then Drew had come into her life and helped her and then... just like that, he'd left. Abandoned her and now, she was all but begging for help and Harry was kind enough to give it. "I'll do anything, Harry," she aid, wiping her eyes. "Whatever you need me to do."
