WHO: Lavender Brown and Marcus Flint
WHAT: Checking up on Lavender.
WHERE: Lav's place
WHEN: Friday evening
RATING: Low
STATUS: Completed
When all of this drama had broken out with Davies snogging other blokes' girlfriends and the like, Marcus had been thoroughly amused. Mostly because he hadn't been involved with any of it for once and it actually had felt pretty nice. Of course, he'd also felt a bit bad for Lavender. It wasn't like she'd actually done anything this time and she'd gotten screwed over pretty royally by the whole mess. There was always that good old adage of 'what goes around comes around', but it was hard to be completely callous to her situation given that she was pregnant and all. It just made things that much worse. Of course, Marcus would have liked to point out that Davies was officially more of an awful human being than Marcus was, at least where Lavender was concerned, but he didn't really want to re-involve himself with that whole little dramatic group.
And then Katie had told Marcus the news concerning the baby. And while Marcus still wanted nothing to do with it, he couldn't help but feel awful for the poor girl. Sure, she was manipulative and at times immature and a plethora of other things that annoyed the shite out of him, but at one point he'd actually enjoyed her company and he'd cared about her. He didn't give a shite about Davies, he wasn't all that fond of Lavender anymore, and he was over baby related drama. But he still felt like maybe he should go check on her or something. It was the polite thing to do after all. And every now and then, no matter how much it felt like it would, it didn't kill him to be polite. He'd owled the hospital earlier in the day to see if she was still there, but they informed him that she'd been discharged to her home already.
He threw on his jacket and headed for Lavender's place, wondering if maybe he should bring her something? But what the fuck did you bring someone who just lost their baby? Besides, there was a good chance she wasn't even going to want to see him so what the fuck ever. Once he got to her place, he gave a knock before attempting to open the door. More then surprised that she hadn't warded him out up to this point, he opened the door and let himself in, closing it behind him. Marcus didn't make a habit out of waiting outside people's doors and it wasn't like he expected someone who'd just been through a physical trauma to bother letting him in. "Lavender?" he called, suddenly realizing that Roger might be around. Fuck. He didn't want to fucking see Davies. He wasn't even sure he wanted to see Lavender all that much. Why was he there again?
