Well, fuck. This was really just not how he'd wanted things to go at all. Marcus did his best to move out of the way of the flying chair, more than annoyed at the fact that his brand new flat was getting fucking destroyed because Katie couldn't calm her temper enough to let him explain. Like she would have believed him anyway. His reputation and past actions were clearly working against him. He let go of Persephone, letting her fall unceremoniously to the floor. "You need to leave," he said icily as he grabbed her wand off of the table and pocketed it. He'd send that back to Ethan later. Or he'd burn it. Or maybe he'd go light some people on fire with it and frame her.
Persephone let out an outraged cry as she righted herself, dusting off her dress in the process. "You were the one that came on to me," she practically growled at him, quickly taking a step back as Marcus's hand moved to strangle her, narrowly avoiding it. She headed towards the door, slowing down as she stepped near Katie. "Maybe if you did a better job at pleasing him..." she trailed off as she gave Katie a slow look over, an arrogant smirk forming over her face. And with that, she quickly exited before Marcus could send any hexes her way. Although, he seemed too occupied with the other girl to bother. Well, Persephone would just have to give it a shot another time. And next time, she'd remember to lock the door.
If Katie hadn't been standing right there looking so very angry, Marcus might have literally killed Persephone. He supposed it was lucky that Katie was there. He'd managed to get out of being molested by his sister in law and he didn't have to deal with any resulting legal issues that might have popped up from torturing and/or killing someone. "Katie," he said as gently as possible, holding his arms out just slightly. If he could manage to get close enough to her without her using that wand again he fully planned on taking it from her. "I swear...I had nothing to do with...that," he said, motioning to the chair that he'd been on. "If you would just let me explain." Well, he'd gotten out of almost knocking Lavender up. Surely he'd find a way out of this. Still, it was really starting to look like the universe just had it in for the two of them.
