It had been a couple of very long days for him. First there was Clint's bachelor party that had involved far too much alcohol than his body had really been prepared for. Then there was the massive hangover the following morning that had taken even more out of him. Finally, there had been the wedding, which contain more a sense of worry and a certain feeling of happiness for both Daphne and Clint. He was pleased that everything had worked out for those two, but he'd been worried. Clint had looked like he was going to vomit that morning and it had taken a lot for him and Marcus to talk him through it. It wasn't that he didn't want to marry Daphne, because even to a stranger it was clear that Clint cared about her. Adrian figured it was more of the responsibility change that it signified. It wasn't just Clint he had to care for now. Of course, he could be wrong entirely, but that was the nature of the thing.
Glancing down at Emma, he gave her hand a light squeeze, their hands still linked from earlier. He'd been worried about her, as well. The opinions of Pureblood society had a certain habit of being roughly pushed onto others, particularly those that they didn't think worthy. He hadn't wanted her to feel any more out of place than she already might have. More importantly, he didn't want her to get some stupid idea that she shouldn't be spending time with him because she wasn't who he was suppose to be focusing his attention on. He knew what certain people expected of him and if he'd cared about that in the first place he wouldn't have started anything with Emma. It was his choice to make.
Having fulfilled their duties as members of the wedding party, the two of them had departed. Adrian was glad for it. He was exhausted, over all. He'd made sure his Mother was taking Victoria with her and then let Emma lead the way out. He was grateful for just a little piece and quiet; just the two of them.
