WHO: Marcus Flint and Clint Warrington for now.
WHAT: It's a sad day when even Marcus can't keep track of his life
WHERE: Clint's villa in Spain
WHEN: Tuesday evening
RATING: M for mopey. jk. TBD.
STATUS: In progress
The point of forcing Clint to let Marcus go to Spain had been to get away from all of the shite Marcus had managed to get himself into back in England. But so far, it wasn't exactly working. All he wanted to do was enjoy the country with his best mate and his best mate's fiancee. Marcus wanted to relax and have fun. But between his trying not to fuck around for Katie's sake and Lavender's recent news, it was really fucking difficult. He didn't want to bother Clint about it, however, since Clint seemed really fucking happy for once. Marcus was selfish, but he wasn't selfish enough to bother Clint's holiday with his misfortunes. And so, believe it or not, the elder Greengrass had been willing to listen to Marcus bitch about his life for a while. Of course, she occasionally threw her opinion into it all and it was never exactly positive or nice, but it was better than nothing.
Marcus was mostly positive Lavender's baby wasn't his. While she clearly hadn't been taking precautions, Marcus made it a point to do always do so. But there was still that small little bit of doubt that something could have gone wrong and he just couldn't shake that. It seemed like everytime he took a step forward with Katie, he got shoved at least ten back and it was getting exhausting. Maybe he really should just take this all as a sign that he and Bell just weren't ever going to work out. It had been silly to think it ever would in the first place. And what was Marcus going to do if that kid ended up being his? He didn't want to marry Lavender, but wasn't that what you were supposed to do? And why the fuck was he worrying about this anyway? It was more likely to be Davies' than his so Marcus would just have to wait it out until Brown found out for sure and then he'd be on his merry way.
He was currently relaxing on the couch as he chatted with Daphne, not really sure where Clint was but figuring he'd be around soon. It was getting dark and he usually went out at night. Well, actually he was almost always out. Clint really loved this country. When Clint finally made his way into the room, Marcus watched as Daphne smiled and moved towards him, giving him a small kiss as she did so. Marcus rolled his eyes. At least those two seemed better. They were almost like a real couple or something. Almost. Maybe England was just poisonous for any sort of real relationship. Hell, it was poisonous for those fake one night ones too. England just fucking sucked.
"Your boyfriend is seriously depressing me," Daphne said as she looked up at Clint. It wasn't that Daphne minded talking to Marcus. But the man didn't know what he wanted and it seemed like every time he decided, it was like he'd automatically talk himself out of it. And it wasn't like Daphne was equipped to give advice on Gryffindors.
"Such a little sell-out," Marcus said, somewhat amused at Daphne. It wasn't like he'd expected her to not talk to Clint about any of this at some point. But he hadn't expected for her to get to it quite so quickly.
