Who: Katie and Marcis When: Wed, June 15 - after midnight Where: Marcus's house What: He deserves to be punched. Again. Status: Fin. Rating: Language
Katie didn't know why she was here. In fact, she ought to just turn around but after Roger's disclosure about the Flint/Davies conversation, well, she was a little far gone and she'd somehow managed to make her way to Marcus's place without realizing that she'd done so. Sighing, rubbing her eyes wearily, Katie stared at his front door. The idea just to hex him the minute he opened it really appealed to her. She couldn't believe he'd said those things about her and then? And then he'd gone off to do fuck knows what with Lavender. Not to mention that little bit of whatever happened after he'd declared he wanted to be with her and that they'd eventually be together. Really, Katie didn't know why she was here. Nothing good would come of it. Rubbing her forehead wearily, Katie closed her eyes and sat down on the steps in front of his front door, debating the merits of knocking. If she went in there, she'd likely do something stupid. If she didn't go in there, she'd likely do something stupid.
Groaning, Katie sighed, really just wanting all of this behind her. She had a game to focus on and it was likely to be the last one. After crying on George's shoulder last night, she was just exhausted. It hadn't taken her long to fall asleep, curled up next to him in his room. It had been nice, actually. To be with someone who loved her. Even if was only platonic between them, Katie loved George and he'd held her while she cried and made her feel a bit better about everything. Like he always did. Unlike, the man whose front door she was currently sitting next to. Marcus had said awful things about her and then made it worse by apologizing and admitting how he felt. Part of her wanted to believe what he said was true so much. So, so much. But how could it be? Could you care about someone and say things like that and then... go off and find another person, someone you'd been involved with for a long while and what? Snog them? Fool around? She didn't even know what had happened and while she wanted to know, she didn't at the same time.
Merlin. Africa was looking better every single minute. Rubbing her temples, Katie stood up and turned before staring at his door. Hesitantly, she reached for the handle, giving a slight knock before walking in. Well, he hadn't warded her out. Of course, why would he? She hadn't done anything. It was late. Well after midnight and he was probably asleep. Or fucking someone. Merlin. Wouldn't that be fun to walk in on. Sighing, she looked around the living room but the lights were off. Heading towards the stairs, Katie quietly made her way towards his bedroom. There was a stretch of light coming from under his door. Listening carefully, she didn't hear any sex noises so figured it'd be okay to go in. Pushing the door open, Katie stared at a sleeping Marcus Flint. She sucked in her breath when she saw his face. Merlin. He looked awful. The fight that had been in her seemed to deflate some as she stared at him. Of course, she just reminded herself what he said and how he'd treated her and she was more than ready to smack the shite out of him.
Walking towards his bed, determidly ready to give him a piece of her mind, Katie smacked him across the shoulder. Had. "Wake up," she said, crossing her arms over her chest, irritation and fury filling her once more.
