Drew felt like he hadn't seen either Geoff or Alicia in ages. Of course, it was a lot easier to see Alicia than it was Geoff. Geoff had a big stick stuck up his arse lately and he really didn't want to defend both Mandy and his obvious inability to know when someone was lying to him. He understood what Geoff was talking about, but seriously. Mandy wasn't Lilith and he wasn't Geoff. He had always been able to spot inconsistencies a mile away and it wasn't that he was too distracted by Mandy. He hadn't noticed anything in the beginning when he didn't like her. This case wasn't as black and white as it seemed and it pissed him off a bit that Geoff was too focused on his past to see it.
Having a free afternoon, Drew had grabbed a quick shower and popped over to Alicia's. At least Alicia wasn't going to lecture him on his choices. Even when they were mad at each other they were great friends. They screamed at each other, got up in each other's faces, did a lot of pointing, and then finished it up with a beer. He couldn't do that with Geoff. Not in this case. Geoff was going to have to get over it on his own because Drew's word didn't mean a whole lot these days.
Reaching her house, Drew gave a quick knock and let himself in. He sincerely hoped that she wasn't in there with Geoff, because that would be ridiculously fucked up to walk in on that. He shuddered at the thought. Their dynamics were far too intermingled to be walking on his Ex and his Best Mate. It was just not right. "Cover up what you don't want seen!" he called, amused as he kicked off his shoes and moved further in.
