Geoff hated these types of events. Course, he'd only ever really been to handful and that was just as undercover security. He was actually Alicia's date for this one and while he couldn't say that he wasn't glad she'd drug him out. He really would rather be eating a burger somewhere. Glancing down at the witch next to him, he smiled, sliding his arm around her waist, dropping a light kiss on her hair. She looked gorgeous and it was all amusing as fuck to see her in something other than sweats and a t-shirt. Not that he minded that. Because, really? He didn't. It was just hilarious to watch her be uncomfortable in heels and a dress because sometimes, he was pretty sure she didn't know how gorgeous she was. Taking the champagne from her, Geoff took a sip. Fuck. He hated that shit. He just wanted a bloody ale and some fish and chips.
"Remind me why the fuck we're here again," he said, pulling her a little closer as they made their way throught the crowd. He knew she was doing it as a favor for Katie but he had no idea what exactly that entailed. He knew Bell was spending the weekend in St. Mungo's but he really had no idea what this had to do with this bloody charity event. Course, he never really tried to understand the thought process of Katie Bell. He adored the girl and she was pretty much every Gryffindor's little sister and he knew Alicia would deny her nothing. Alicia and Kates were ridiculously close and he understood that bond. He just wished he hadn't gotten roped into it as well. Bell was going to owe them both. Big time.
Glancing around, he spotted Marcus Flint and Adrian Pucey. Brown was with Davies and there were a few people he didn't recognize but this wasn't exactly the crowd her ran with. Leaning down, Geoff brushed his lips over Ali's ear. "You owe me for this," he said, amused, dropping a kiss on her cheek. She owed him so fucking much for this.
